1. MODO — Museo del Objeto del Objeto (Museum of the Purpose of Objects)

This museum is literally dedicated to our everyday objects — where they come from, who used them for the first time, why they were even invented. In MODO, you'll find old artifacts that have been used in Mexico for more than 200 years, but also new ones that have changed the way Mexicans live today.
2. Museo Nacional de Culturas Populares (National Museum of Popular Cultures)

Wanna see the best display of popular cultures from all regions of Mexico? Then this museum is for you. All the exhibitions are temporary, so every time you visit you'll discover a completely new expression of Mexican culture.

3. Museo del Estanquillo

The Estanquillo is located in a breathtaking historical building in downtown Mexico City. Inside, you'll find the personal collection of Carlos Monsiváis — a writer and political activist in Mexico — which consists of unique paintings, toys, old advertisements, and many other objects related to Mexican culture. Whether you're an architect or not, you need to visit Luis Barrágan's House and get to know one of the most important design artists in Mexico. Discover the rosa Barragán (a famous shade of pink that was created by the architect), and the odd yet relaxing shapes used in the structures of the house.
5. Universum — Museo de las Ciencias (Science Museum)

8. MUCHO — Mundo Chocolate Museo (Chocolate World)

Chocolate is REALLY important in Mexican culture. That's why this museum is completely dedicated to the love and art of making chocolate, from the way pre-hispanic cultures prepared it to the process of finding cacao and producing chocolate as we know it today. They also always have temporary exhibitions that celebrate chocolate using different art techniques.
