Taylor Swift’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version) Tracks Ranked Worst To Best By A HUGE Swiftie

    Let’s see the order!

    If you didn’t know,

Taylor Swift released her first re-record album along with 6 songs from the vault on April 9, 2021. Her album Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is a trip back to 2008 when it was originally released. Throughout the album, you can hear how Taylor’s voice has matured and strengthened. You can also hear that Taylor is and will always be a country singer icon.

I’ve always wanted to make a post like this.

I’ve always wanted to make a post where I rank Taylor Swift songs and I figured that this would be a good way to do my first. Quick backstory, I’ve always been a Swiftie. I first heard Taylor Swift the day I was born, and I can’t say what I felt when I heard it back then, but when I was a toddler, I know I loved her music. Also a cool fact, the music video for ME! was released on my birthday so that’s cool :)

    Let’s get into the ranking!

Oh and I love every song on the album, I’m just putting them in order of what I like best.

    26. Forever and Always (Piano Version) (Taylor's Version) (song 16)

Don't get me wrong, I love every song on the album, but the piano version of already amazing Forever and Always (Taylor’s Version) isn't my favourite. (I'm Canadian that's why I spell favourite this way)

    25. The Best Day (Taylor's Version) (song 12)

The Best Day (Taylor’s Version) isn't my ~overall~ style. It's a super sweet song, but I'm more for the other songs.

    24. Come In With The Rain (Taylor's Version) (song 17)

Ok so I love the story she tells throughout the song, but the overall vibe of the song isn't totally my thing.

    23. Untouchable (Taylor's Version) (song 15)

TBH, a little slow for my likings. I love the simile at the beginning of the song though.

    "Untouchable like

    A distant diamond sky"

The simile is just so perfect.

    22. Don't You (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault) (song 25)

Ok so I love all of the songs from The Vault but like Untouchable (Taylor’s Version), this song is a little slow for me. Vocals and lyrics are amazing though :)

    21. Today Was A Fairytale (Taylor's Version) (song 20)

Ok don't get me wrong, I LOVE THIS SONG, but the more songs I put on the list, the harder it is for me to choose songs. This song has a great story and she describes everything so well, but against all of the other songs, Today Was A Fairytale (Taylor’s Version) lost.

    20. Superstar (Taylor's Version) (song 18)

Superstar (Taylor’s Version) tells a great story but I wouldn't be able to listen to it on replay all day for a week, unlike others. I love the song but it's not going to be my favourite.

    19. The Other Side Of The Door (Taylor's Version) (song 19)

I really like the vibes it gives off at the beginning (like listen to the guitar, drums, and banjo? or is it a fiddle? whatever it is it sounds amazinggggg) but it loses me after a bit and makes me come back during the second chorus.

    18. We Were Happy (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault) (song 23)

First off, this song gives me total happiness (from evermore) vibes. I don't know why but I feel like both songs are perfect for each other. The lyrics are sweet - a good song to cry to - I would definitely play this song when I want to cry, but I don't feel like crying right now. Also, the bridge is total PERFECTION. Like how can she always write the most perfect bridges on every single song (even more on the sad ones lol)

    17. Jump Then Fall (Taylor's Version) (song 14)

I really like the instrumental piece of this song. It sounds super good and country and perfect with her vocals. Her vocals on the chorus are a chef's kiss. Perfectttttt!

    16. White Horse (Taylor's Version) (song 5)

First, don't hate me for putting a song 5 on number 16. I love this song a lot, but it's not my favourite song 5. It's an amazing song but it's just (I don't know the word) BUUUT I LOVE the lyrics, like all song 5's.

    15. Fifteen (Taylor's Version) (song 2)

I didn't purposefully put Fifteen (Taylor’s Version) as number 15, but it's getting harder and harder to choose songs to go here. I love every single song. Fifteen (Taylor’s Version)has a beautiful story about high school and I love that.

    14. The Way I Loved You (Taylor's Version) (song 10)

I really like the build-up at the beginning and how it starts off with a quiet drum then all the instruments. But I love how she belts the chorus. Like the way she goes from singing so ~peacefully~ into this super powerful belting singing is absolutely incredible.

    13. Change (Taylor's Version) (song 13)

Ah song 13 on spot 13, it was meant to be lol. The beginning of all the instruments into her just singing with her guitar the drums then even more instruments makes it sound ABSOLUTLEY AWESOMELY AMAZING! The lyrics are powerful and the story of how we should never give up is super inspiring.

    12. That's When (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault) (Ft. Keith Urban) (song 24)

I really like That's When (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault) [ft. Keith Urban] because of the way their voices match throughout the song. I also like how the first and second verses are the same story just told through different perspectives.

    11. You're Not Sorry (Taylor's Version) (song 9)

You’re Not Sorry (Taylor’s Version) is an extremely beautiful, emotional, and full-of-feeling song. You can hear each emotion that she’s trying to sound. The power in her voice makes this song even better. She could’ve sang it mellow and sadder, but instead she still makes it a heart-wrenching song with power throughout the song.

    10. Hey Stephen (Taylor's Version) (song 4)

I've always liked Hey Stephen but when Taylor's Version came out, I liked it even more. Personally, I like the first verse best because it really starts the story in a nice way.

"Hey Stephen, I know looks can be deceiving but I know I saw a light in you

And as we walked we were talking and I didn't say half the things I wanted to

Of all the girls tossing rocks at your window, I'll be the one waiting there even when it's cold

Hey Stephen, boy, you might have me believing I don't always have to be alone"

    9. Tell Me Why (Taylor's Version) (song 8)

I love the way Taylor sounds like her younger self in this song. You can tell how the was trying to sound like her late-teenage self while making it sound like her early-thirties self. It’s incredible how she can not just channel that country part of her, but make it could like she did when she was a teenager.

    8. Breathe (Taylor's Version) (ft. Colbie Caillat) (song 6)

I LOVE Taylor's vocals and Colbie's backing vocals throughout the song. I'm really glad Colbie said yes to doing the backing vocals on this song many years later. It wouldn't have sounded the same. I also like how you can hear how Taylor's voice has strengthened throughout the years.

    7. You All Over Me (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault) (Ft. Maren Morris) (song 21)

I love the way the song starts. All of the instruments are a perfect segway into Taylor's voice singing the beautiful lyrics. Then when Maren's voice comes into the backing vocals, makes the song sound so beautiful. Their voices sound so nice together!

    6. You Belong With Me (Taylor's Version) (song 6)

In my opinion, You Belong With Me (Taylor’s Version) is one of the songs off of Fearless (Taylor’s Version) that are easier to tell that they were re-recorded about 13 years later. I love her vocals throughout the song, especially the ones during the choruses. They are a chef’s kiss.

    5. Bye Bye Baby (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault) (song 26)

This song is making its way up my chart because I’m listening to it so much. It started out at 11, and is now at 5. I really like the vibe of this song and how she pronounces the alliteration in the words, “Bye Bye Baby.” It makes the whole song sound even better and it’s just a really nice song in my opinion.

    4. Forever & Always (Taylor's Version) (song 11)

The final 1:11 of the song is pure perfection. Her vocals are amazing. When she goes from the bridge into one of her final big vocals is just amazing. You can really tell how she can channel her inner 18-19-year-old self and a 31-year-old and somehow make it even better is incredible. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, go to where there is 1:11 left and the first time you hear the following lyrics following the bridge, you will know what I’m talking about.

“ 'Cause it rains in your bedroom

    Everything is wrong

It rains when you're here and it rains when you're gone”

    3. Fearless (Taylor's Version) (song 1)

“And I don't know why but with you I'd dance

In a storm in my best dress

    Fearless”

Just those lyrics alone sum up the reason I put Fearless (Taylor’s Version) as number 3 on my list. The lyrics are so beautiful and her vocals make them even more. I love this song so muchhhhh!

    2. Love Story (Taylor's Version) (song 3)

It surprised me that I changed this song with the now favourite song on Fearless (Taylor’s Version). I’ve always love this song, but the vocals on this version are so raw and real, which makes me love it even more. I could hear this song for the rest of my life and not get annoyed.

    And now, song number 1....

    1. Mr. Perfectly Fine (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault) (song 22)

Ok so originally I had Love Story (Taylor’s Verison) as number 1, but the more I listened to the album, I realized that Mr. Perfectly Fine is my FAVOURITE song on the album. I don’t know if it’s because it’s from the vault and it’s never been released until almost 13 years later (technically it’s been 12 years about 5 months) and/or that it’s just an amazing song. It’s so catchy and lowkey amazing.

    And one last thing....

After exactly 13 days since Fearless (Taylor’s Version) came out I decided to post this.

I’ve been working on this post since April 9, 2021 (it’s now April 22, 2021 - 13 days later, which is also Taylor’s favourite number). I’ve put A LOT of time and effort into this post and I think that I’ll be doing more in the future. Thank you so much for taking the time to read the whole post - it means a lot to me.
