3. Death - A Series About Life
Have you ever wondered what death is for and how we should handle it?
This series approach death from different angles - from the very personal to culture and science. A father and his young daughter travel the world and meet people who help us understand more about death. Watch it here.
This dark comedy is created by “Marcel The Shell’s” Dean Fleischer-Camp and produced by Super Deluxe, leading purveyor of bizarre viral videos. It stars Nathan Fielder (“Nathan For You”) as a recently-fired divorcee, whose psychic tells him that he has a “black stone, like a rock, growing” in his chest. If he doesn’t get rid of it, his body will de-compose in five weeks. Fleishcher-Camp’s trademark is all over the deadpan vocal inflections — consistently neutral across the board — and the retro-looking sets, which are just weird enough to be unsettling without going over the top. With an eerie score reminiscent of “Twin Peaks” and Fielder’s vacant hangdog eyes, “David” takes cringe-comedy to another level. Watch it here.
A comedy series set and filmed in the oppressively pleasant and mundane county of ‘Dorset’ in the south of England. The story follows two young guys; Connor and Shay, whose humdrum lives are rudely interrupted when their boredom gives way to temptation. They suddenly find themselves dealing with drug dealers and attempting to negotiate life and death situations with only their knowledge of popular culture to help them. Watch it here.
8. Love Street
We meet the quirky Anglo-Italian family, the Loves at their home in Rome. Mum and Dad, though lovable, are such irresponsible and immature parents that their kids have taken over the household, and are “bringing up” their parents! Watch it here.
9. Driving Arizona
Duane and Glen are two recently united cousins who work for their Uncle Jerry’s airport shuttle service, “Driving Arizona”. They are not the best employees. Comedy Central’s New York Television Festival Finalist. Watch it here.
10. Downward Dog
Created by Michael Killen and Samm Hodges, and produced by the team at Animal, Inc., the commercial production arm of Animal Media Group, “Downward Dog” is the original web series that provided the inspiration for the upcoming ABC comedy of the same name. ABC’s “Downward Dog” is about a struggling millennial, Nan (“Fargo’s” Allison Tolman), from the point of view of her lonely and philosophical dog, Martin. The broadcast series is created and written by Samm Hodges and Michael Killen, who will executive produce with Mosaic Media Group’s Jimmy Miller and Sam Hansen, Animal’s Kathy Dziubek, and Kat Likkel and John Hoberg. It stars Tolman, Lucas Neff as Jason, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Jenn, and Barry Rothbart as Kevin. The series hails from Legendary Television and ABC Studios. Watch it here.
