Basically, Puig is much better in any stat that is directly proportional to individual ability. More RBI’s with fewer hits essentially means Francouer’s teammates got on base at a better rate. Outfield assists are also a pretty rare occurrence depending on whether the ball is hit to you in an extremely specific scenario. No, Puig is not going to hit .400, but its fine for people to get excited about a transcendent talent.
