A brand new Christmas carol is going viral, and it's really good in a so-bad-it's-good way. 🎅 🐨
Produced by Melburnian absurdist sketch comedy troupe Aunty Donna, the video is a tongue-in-cheek homage to Xmas classics such as Aussie Jingle Bells.
It features band members Mark Bonanno, Broden Kelly, and Zachary Ruane doing what every Christmas song in the history of time has always done: pointing out that Chrissy in Oz is bloody hot mate, and you won't be wearing woolies. 🔥
The song celebrates 'Strayan staples such as frosty lagers, ice from the servo, shorts and thongs, and reiterates the importance of "slippy, sloppy, slap" (look it up). 😎
"We think Aussie Xmas carols are pretty silly," Auntie Donna's Mark Bonanno told BuzzFeed. "Aussie Jingle Bells is about how it's hot, every song is about how it's hot. That's all everyone ever has to say: that's all anyone has to say, ever."
