It's been just a little over a month since Hilaria Baldwin made headlines for seemingly misrepresenting her Spanish heritage for years.
At the time, Hilaria addressed the allegations, clarifying that she "was born in Boston and grew up spending time with my family between Massachusetts and Spain."
But people were far from satisfied with her explanation, leading to the mother of five deciding to take a break from social media: "I'm so tired. I'm going to go back to my family because I've been not a very good mommy, spending a lot of time focusing on this and I just want to be left alone. So I love you, and I'm going to sign off for a long time."
Well, that was six weeks ago. Apparently the allure of Instagram is too strong, because Hilaria has not only returned, but has made a new statement about her heritage in hopes of finally putting this scandal to rest.
"I’ve spent the last month listening, reflecting, and asking myself how I can learn and grow," she began.
"My parents raised my brother and me with two cultures, American and Spanish, and I feel a true sense of belonging to both."
"The way I’ve spoken about myself and my deep connection to two cultures could have been better explained — I should have been more clear and I'm sorry."
"I'm proud of the way I was raised, and we’re raising our children to share the same love and respect for both."
"Being vulnerable and pushing ourselves to learn and grow is what we've built our community on, and I hope to get back to the supportive and kind environment we’ve built together," she concluded.
Well, then... I guess that's that.
