This Debate About Who Should Be Allowed To Go To Disney World Has Set The Internet On Fire

    Sorry, not sorry.

Last week, @JenKatWrites shared a Facebook rant she came across by a "pissed off" mom complaining about people going to Disney World without children.

This is my new favorite wild mommy post. It’s me, the millennial slut who just goes to Disney World to make children cry

The mother, whose name was blurred, said that "immature millennials" have no idea "the joy and happiness it is to mothers who buy their babies treats and toys."

“People without CHILDREN need to be BANNED!!!!! Mothers with children should be allowed to skip ALL THE LINE!!!” she wrote.

The tweet went viral and, shortly after, the New York Post wrote an op-ed that said "childless millennials going to Disney World is weird," which just fueled the fire even more.

Sorry, childless millennials going to Disney World is weird https://t.co/jMi5S2IRmK

Why should only people with children be allowed to go to the happiest place on earth? Do I not deserve happiness???

Unsurprisingly, people had a lot of opinions...

I went to Disney World by myself recently and had way more fun than the exhausted parents who kept fighting, and their crying, angry, tired children. If it’s “weird” to actually have FUN at Disney World, I’m totally ok with being that kind of “weird.” https://t.co/OP0eGXMoi1

...even suggesting that people with kids shouldn't go to Disney, instead of the other way around.

or people with kids shouldn’t go to disney and ruin it for everybody else trying to enjoy their vacay without ur screeching booger goblins https://t.co/0XDkpVuD6A

Or perhaps there should be a minimum age requirement.

@Bloodlvsted i’ve always said people with children under the age of 8 shouldn’t even be allowed in disney world. like, bitch take your kid when they no longer need a stroller and can ACTUALLY remember the magic.

And what if you don't want children or can't have them? Is that any reason to be punished??

Many others pointed out that not everyone grew up in a family that could even afford* Disney World.

Not all of us grew up where our families could afford to take us to Disney. Take your entitled, judgmental, caps-lock for brains havin ass and shove it. https://t.co/l7oMA39JoW

*It currently costs over $100 a day, per person. Not to mention the cost of food, travel, lodging, and more.

    I mean, points were made!!

@nypost I wish millennials could afford to have kids and go to Disneyworld. Can't have both.

Not only that, but banning childless people (or people who simply choose to leave their kids at home, lol) doesn't fit the spirit of Disney. It's supposed to be a place to go where you can feel like a kid again!

@nypost WALT’S👏🏻WHOLE👏🏻GOAL👏🏻WAS👏🏻TO👏🏻MAKE👏🏻THINGS👏🏻THAT👏🏻EVERYONE👏🏻COULD👏🏻ENJOY.👏🏻 maybe stop shaming people for enjoying a freaking theme park.

If anything, we should all be going to Disney while we still can!

ma’am, we’re all gonna die from climate change https://t.co/AeEX4v3vBr

Now, is it a very wonderful thing for parents to share the magic of Disney with their children and make memories? Yes! It was something I cherished growing up. But also, as a 26-year-old childless woman, does that mean I shouldn't be allowed to go back and create new memories? No!

I don't know why this is a hot-button issue, but it is, so sound off in the comments! In the meantime, I'll be planning my next trip to Disney.

@nypost Me and all my childless millennial friends at Disneyworld, happily waiting in lines like:
