How many walkers have you killed?
How many people have you killed?
“Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself,
(I am large, I contain multitudes.)” —Walt Whitman
Response to There Is A Store In LA For Time Travelers:
The Echo Park Time Travel Mart sponsers Paul F. Tompkin’s “The Dead Author’s Podcast” which states that it is being produced to bring awareness to 826LA. Before today, I thought the “Presented by The Echo Park Time Travel Mart” line in the iTunes description was just a joke, based on the fact that the podcast is “hosted” by H.G. Wells, who goes back in time to bring dead author’s to the present to interview them.
I think of the National Lampoon Vacaction movies when I think of Beverly D’Angelo. National Lampoon’s Vegas Vacation was from 1997, so maybe that’s why she’s on there. I mean if being wooed by Wayne Newton doesn’t get you a Kid’s Choice nomination, I don’t know what does.
Response to The 16 Best Summer Jams Of 2013:
It may be your 3rd best summer jam, but according to Colbert, “Get Lucky” is The Song of the Summer of the Century. ;)
I know it’s not a classic author, but in the vein of authors who need to be taken to the burn unit, there’s this quote from John Rodgers: “There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”
Response to 20 Phases Of Having A Song Stuck In Your Head:
In my case, flash forward 6-12 months and I hear the song again and I’m hooked again.
