During your visit to the land down under make sure you visit all the historical attractions and landmarks that this country offers. There is much to learn about the ancient history of this country, while immersing oneself in the cultural aspects it offers. If you are a history buff who loves everything to do with old buildings, structures, monuments and landmarks, Australia has got a lot to offer. Uluru

This landmark is located in the northern part of the country near Darwin. It is also known as Ayers Rock, and is the world's largest monolith. It is one of the well-known landmarks that Australia offers for it holds a vast amount of natural and cultural value to the country and its citizens. From what’s exposed to the naked eye, it is 348 meters high and the natural park that surrounds it also holds a lots of cultural value. You n take direct domestic flights from Darwin airport.

Heart Reef

This is a heart shaped reef that’s located in Queensland in Australia. It is an ideal educational excursion for those students studying Marine life or Marine biology. It is a must visit place when visiting Brisbane, Queensland. I gives the best views for the sea plan or the helicopter tours, but you can also go and enjoy the beach and the reef. There are a multitude of accommodation options available near Heart reef. There a many types of backpackers and budget travellers who visit this place. Make sure to either go swimming, snorkelling or diving during your visit to the heart reef, for it is very safe and a life guard is almost always present around the area.

Port Arthur

This is a highly historic site which has somehow managed to evade the lightning speed of development that has occurred in Australia. It is located in the Tasman Peninsula and is 95km away from the capital of Tasmania. This port is said to be maintained and occupied by the British Empire in the eighteen hundreds. This building is located in a peninsula where the waters surrounding it is shark infested, an ideal defence mechanism used back in the day. You can enjoy guided tours and you’ll find plenty of exciting accommodation options in and around the area.

Kangaroo Island

What is Australia without its kangaroos? This island is located in the south coast near Adelaide. You can enter the island by taking a flight through the Adelaide airport. This island is home to around 5000 kangaroos, and a large collection of native flora and fauna too. One third of the island is considered a conservation area and National Park. There are many exciting tours available at Kangaroo Island that one must most definitely take during their visit. There are also multi-cultural cuisine available at this island.
