The royal wedding was last weekend, aka Prince Harry married Meghan Markle and everything was pretty much a fairytale.
The now Duchess of Sussex wore a dress by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. It was simple and stunning. Plus, the veil had embroidery that represented all 53 countries in the commonwealth.
Like I said, beautiful.
Now, I know I put Katy Perry in the headline so you're probably going, "What does Katy Perry have to do with this?" I'll tell ya! Entertainment Tonight was at the American Idol show Monday and asked judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Ritchie, and yes, Katy Perry about the royal wedding.
Katy had some pretty nice things to say, saying she was so happy Meghan was a proud feminist. But when ET interviewer Lauren Zima asked Katy what she thought of Meghan's dress, she said, "I would have done one more fitting."
She then said, "Kate won. I'm sorry, I'm never not gonna tell the truth. One more fitting. But I love [her]!"
THIS. IS. NOT. A. COMPETITION.
I could list 1000 reasons why Meghan's dress was perfect. Among them: not everyone wants a skin tight wedding dress or maybe she wanted to be able to breathe and sit down comfortably.
And who even cares because it's HER day and if she wanted to wear a burlap sack we should be happy for her?!?!?!
But don't mind me, I'm just going to continue looking at photos from the wedding in awe.
Here's everything Katy said:
I don't know much about her but what I've seen or heard, whether it's been true or false, to me everything sounds amazing. I'm so happy for them.
It's amazing what she's doing with her humanitarian efforts and the fact that she's a proud feminist. I love all that. I support her as another woman and love her and wish them both well.
I would have done one more fitting. Kate won. Kate won! I'm sorry, I'm never not gonna tell the truth. One more fitting — but I love [her].
