1. You're still in shock over how much everything costs.
2. And not only that, but YOU have to pay for all of it.
3. You're also caught off guard by all the wedding announcements you keep getting in the mail.
4. And when you go to the weddings, you're usually the first one headed straight for the open bar.
5. Because marriage isn't even on your radar at this point.
6. You kinda feel like you know how taxes work, but also not really.
7. Same goes for retirement plans, the stock market, and all those other thingamajigs.
8. You still call your mom when you need help with the most menial task.
9. It seems like your social media has become one big baby album...
10. ...while the closest thing you've ever had to a child is the houseplant that died last week.
11. You still wake up on the weekends with a hangover and a hefty dose of shame.
12. But that doesn't stop you from doing it all over again.
13. For you, cooking means putting a frozen pizza in the oven or ordering takeout.
14. You're forever locked in an epic battle between wanting to save money and wanting to buy all the things.
15. You're constantly wondering if you'll ever get the hang of it.
16. And it seems like no matter how hard you try, you just aren't there yet.
17. But then you remember that everyone's on their own journey, you're doing your best, and that's all that matters.
