How Did People Treat You Differently After You Gained Or Lost A Lot Of Weight?

People deserve respect regardless of their size.

Although there's definitely been some improvement in the last few decades, women in society are still treated VERY differently based on the size and shape of their bodies, and it's absolutely not okay.

If you're a woman who's experienced a change in the way people treat you based on your body size, we'd like to hear from you.

For example, maybe you lost a significant amount of weight (due to fitness efforts, health issues, whatever the case), and were SHOCKED at how many people suddenly started opening doors for you and acting friendlier towards you in public.

Or, perhaps you gained weight, and you noticed that more and more people began treating you like you were invisible.

Moira rose saying "i'm standing right here"

Or, maybe you've noticed over the years that when you're thinner, you get more job offers, and when you're not as thin, the job offers stop coming (yes, this is a thing and it's absolutely horrible).

Whatever your story, we want to hear your perspective. Tell us how you've been treated in society based on your weight — and how it made you feel — in the comments. Or, fill out this form if you'd rather remain anonymous. We may feature your responses in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post.
