If you're a resident of Mumbai, chances are you've seen some interesting graffiti around the city by the artist known as Tyler.
Tyler's work and themes are reminiscent of that of famous graffiti artist Banksy.
And like Banksy's, Tyler's identity remains a mystery.
In a new interview with Redbull.in, the artist opens up about his reasons for doing what he does, and how he started out.
"I don't have an art background at all. It was all through the medium of the internet that I realized that stencils are maybe my style."
"The people of this city don't pay attention to what's happening around them. So the idea was just to make people stop for a second."
"You can either do what everybody else is doing. Get up in the morning, go to work, take shit from your boss. "
"I did that for a long time. But I just wanted to live free and do things my way. "
"I thought, life is so boring anyway. Why not make it a little more interesting by doing something no one in this city has seen before?"
