It's the dead of night, and you're standing in front of this house that everyone in town says is haunted. Your curiosity has gotten the better of you, and you're just about to venture inside, but first, you check your backpack to make sure you brought everything. What's in your pack?

Ok, now that you're more or less prepared, you enter the house. The door slams behind you, making you jump. You take a quick look around and see a long hallway ahead of you. What do you do?

After making your way down the hall, you're presented with two doors. One of them says, "Enter the other door," and the other door says, "Don't enter." Which do you enter?

Before you can decide, the doors swing open by themselves, the groans from the rusted hinges echoing through the house. You see that the doors actually lead to the same place so you step inside the room. Once inside, you see that all the furniture in the room has been covered in white sheets. WDYD?

Something in the far end of the room stirs so you decide to get the heck out of there, but when you turn, both the doors are gone. Suddenly, you hear a high-pitched scream come from the same corner, and whatever's making the noise seems to be moving closer and closer toward you. WDYD?

You find an old book of matches in your back pocket and light one of them. You hold back a scream as you see a ghostly figure only inches away from your face. You can feel its breath on your cheeks as it hisses through its jagged teeth. "Where is my daughter?" it asks. That's when the match in your hand burns out and the darkness swallows you once again. 

The darkness becomes too much to handle so you ignite another match. That's when you see that the figure is no longer in front of you. However, you can hear its ragged breathing directly behind you, feel its warm breath on the nape of your neck. "Where is my daughter?" the ghost repeats.

That's when you see one of the paintings on the wall, covered by a sheet. Your curiosity is piqued. You pull the sheet off the painting to reveal an antique portrait of a young girl. *This must be the ghost's daughter*, you think to yourself. What will you do now?

As you're trying to decide what to do, the painting before you springs to life and a look of horror crosses the young girl's face. In terror, she screams, "Please, no! Don't tell Mother where I am! You don't understand!" What next?

"Please, cover me back up, and then run that way!" the girl in the painting says, pointing towards a door you hadn't seen before. "Get out of here while you still can!" she adds. WDYD? 

Shaken but determined to survive, you cover the girl's painting with the sheet and then do as she said and try to make a run for it. You're relieved when you see a broken window in the distance through which you can escape, but you also hear Mother screaming in inhuman rage behind you. You...

Ok, last question, so I just have to say this – if you hid, that's dumb, so we're gonna pretend like you decided to run. You're sprinting toward the window, and you peek over your shoulder and see Mother's ghostly figure speeding after you with an antique knife. WDYD?

You didn't make it out of the house, and worse, you died by the hands of Mother! Now you're just another spirit who will haunts these hallowed halls for the rest of eternity.

You... didn't survive

You made it out perfectly fine (albeit a little traumatized), but will you go back to explore for more? Ehhhh, up to you! But thanks to your quick thinking and survival skills, you managed to escape Mother and live to tell the tale! Good for you! As for the nightmares about the girl from the painting.... Those might be more real than you think.
