Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Fachs:Slytherin

"There isn't a witch or wizard who went bad who wasn't in Slytherin". First of all, Ron,rude. I'll send you a howler for talking bad about my house like that. Even though Slytherin house does have the "evil" reputation, evil we are not! “You could be great, you know, it’s all here in your head, and Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness, no doubt about that.” The Sorting Hat knew what was up. Slytherins are know for being proud, ambiguous, and cunning .That seems like the perfect way to describe a successful singer-yes we tend to be a tad power hungry and border on the side of perfectionism. But evil? Of course not! Don't fach with us though,we are still the house of snakes. Speaking of fachs, here is how the witches and wizards of would be cast in a opera. Seriously, somebody compose this freaking thing.

1. Draco Malfoy-Pants Role

Barring jokes about how Draco looks like a handsome woman, the silvery color and lachrymose nature of the lyric mezzo voice can perfectly show off Draco in his youth as well as the more serious toned vocal styling needed in the later books when Draco was dabbling with the Death Eaters.

2. Lucius Malfoy-Lyric Baritone

The hair, the attitude, the malevolence. Perfect for a Lyric Baritone. Just imagine Draco’s dad hitting a few G’s in a rage aria over Dobby.

3. Bellatrix Lestrange-Dramatic Mezzo

Savage, dark, freaking nuts, and powerful. Now image that with a killer high Bb to mezzo proportion. If it's good enough for Ježibaba and Azucena....

4. Crabbe and Goyle-Character Tenors

Dumb as rocks and the comedic spoils. How did they get into Slytherin again?

5. Severus Snape-Bass-Baritone

That low resonant voice of Alan Rickman. Rich like butter and chill-inducing like ice. Always.

6. Narcissa Malfoy- Full Lyric Soprano

The witch who had the gall to lie to "You-Know-Who" to save her family, with poise.

Only a soprano call really pull that off.

7. Voldemort-Bass

The Dark Lord's voice would grab and make us take notice. Just like a voice of a Low C wizard should.
