Monday (7/13): Trans Men and Women to Serve Openly

On Monday (7/13), the Pentagon discussed future plans to allow transgender men and women to serve openly in the military. Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter is creating a working group to to help come up with ways to have a smooth transition and to train troops. If all goes well, this will be in affect by early next year.

Tuesday (7/14): Gas Prices Going Up in California

Looks like the gas prices in California are not going anywhere but up. In a CBS News article, it was reported that gas prices are going up due to the low supplies at California's oil refineries. High gas prices are here to stay and will be going up in the coming days and even weeks. Plan your summer road trips wisely.

Wednesday (7/15): ESPY's Honor Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner took home the Arthur Ashe Award For Courage at the 2015 ESPY's (7/15). The beautiful Catilyn Jenner gave a moving and inspirational speech about her self discovery and her journey to make herself truly happy. She pleads for others to me more kind and respectful to those who identify as transgender. Can't we all just get along?!?!

Thursday (7/16): MAC + Selena Quintanilla

All of you Selena fans out there rejoice. In 2016,MAC Makeup will be releasing a Selena Quintanilla inspired collection. Although the line will not debut until the latter part of 2016, people can not wait to get their hands on it. I know I can’t wait. She will continue to live and inspire us through her music and now through makeup. Latter part of 2016 get here already.

Friday (7/17): Happy 60th Disneyland!!!

On this day (7/17) 60 years ago, Disneyland opened it's doors in Anaheim, California. This diamond celebration kicked off in May 2015, but on July 17th, guests were treated with complementary birthday cupcakes, there were also dance parties and parades, and it would not be Disneyland if they did not have an amazing firework show.

Saturday (7/18): Dead Man Found in Demi Moore's Pool

A 21-year-old man was found dead on Saturday (7/18) in the swimming pool of actress Demi Moore. No one was home during the time of the incident, but Demi Moore is "in absolute shock," according to US Weekly. The story is still developing.

Sunday (7/19): Shark Attacks Suffer At J-Bay Open

Australian surfer Mick Fanning, was victim of a shark attachk on Sunday (7/19). The J-Bay surf competition was cancelled following the attack. Thankfully Fanning went home shook up, but sustained no physical injuries.
