Women Build International is a program associated with Habitat for Humanity and designed for women who are interested in learning trades. These skill include learning construction, how to build a home from the ground up, landscaping, and planning for accurate community building. For the last three years these two programs have collaborated together to raise money to build one special participant a home. The cost to build a home is seventy two thousand dollars. They have a specific amount of teams who all are responsible for raising six hundred dollars each. This year following the closing date of the fundraising, Women’s Build and Habitat for Humanity held an event at First City Arts Center in Downtown Pensacola, Florida to announce the amount that was raised. In attendance were the new homeowner and her beautiful family.
