Scarlett Moffatt From "Gogglebox" Is Going To Be A DJ On Capital

You won't be able to hear her on the station nationwide, but she is due to join the Capital FM North East breakfast show to cover for a presenter's maternity leave.

We all know that Scarlett is the queen of telling it like it is, like when Olly Murs announced who was leaving The X Factor at the completely wrong moment.

So you might be interested to hear that as well as appearing on Gogglebox, Scarlett Moffatt is going to be a radio presenter and will join the Bodg, Matt and JoJo Breakfast show on Capital FM North East. This isn't a permanent role. She's covering for JoJo, who will be going on maternity leave.

She announced the news on her Facebook page.

She also told BuzzFeed News in an email "I applied randomly!! I've always wanted to work in radio I am so happy I actually can't believe it!"

Don't fear, she is not leaving Gogglebox. A spokesperson for Channel 4 told BuzzFeed News: "Scarlett has told us she is covering a short maternity leave. This is a personal job and not related to her appearance on Gogglebox."

It is believed that she will start next Monday on the show, but her role has not yet been formally announced. A spokesperson for Global Radio declined to comment.

Capital have confirmed that Scarlett is joining their station. Managing Editor Giles Tanner said in a statement: ‘’We are delighted to have Scarlett joining the team. She’s a local girl with a love for hit music and showbiz gossip – she has already fitted in with the team and we are all excited about Monday’s show.”
