Iranian artist, Neda Taiyebi, uses abandoned Soviet tanks in Kabul, Afghanistan as her canvas. The results are beautiful.

Neda suggests that military elements are an unavoidable part of life in Kabul. So, she wanted to give some of these old war machines a new face.
She likes using traditional colors to brighten up an otherwise somewhat monotone landscape.


She also likes using traditional Persian patterns.



As well as motifs of fruit and flowers.

Neda says that the project is not meant to be political or non-political. She even has the support of the Afghan army!
