1. Follow the light

Bruno Mars isn't the only one who looks delicious in that ray of sunshine...The best food pics are usually captured in the morning when the light is brightest. Most bloggers will literally set up a table right next to a big window in order to get the best, most natural lighting.

2. Master the cheese pull

If you haven't mastered the cheese pull, then you are not a true Instagram foodie. No one wants to look at food porn unless there's some form of dairy dripping from it, trust me.

3. Put it in a bowl

People love food in bowls. If you can throw a bunch of things in a bowl and take a picture of it, you are well on your way to the thousands of likes your heart desires. Things you can put in a bowl: smoothies, veggies, cereal, popcorn, your cat. Go crazy

4. Share your haul

There's nothing more exhilarating than watching a food blogger unpack their bags and bags of overpriced #organic groceries. If you want a shot at Insta-fame, start posting on your Instagram stories with your hauls." People are nosy AF and want to know exactly what you get at the grocery store. Don't ask me why, they just do.

5. HASHTAG THAT ISH

If you want to rack up those likes, you better be throwing up 10+ hashtags per post. Consider tags like #foodporn #goodeats #noms #eeeeeats and other random, food-related words.
