21 Reasons Going to College was Written in Your Stars

You were destined to go to college. The stars foretold it. Here's why.

Posted on

20. You want to do things with your life

You’re not satisfied with never accomplishing anything. Whether that’s becoming a top engineer, becoming the world’s next great novelist, or just making a comfortable life for yourself, you have things you want to achieve.

19. You want a great job

You could work fast food for the rest of your life, or you could get a job that will get you somewhere and fulfill some part of you. You’d rather have the job that gets you what you want.

17. You yearn for adventure

It’s not that the same ‘ol, same ‘ol totally sucks. It’s just that you really want MORE. To do something you’ve never done before. To have mad adventures off somewhere you’ve never been before.

13. You know just because something bad happens, it doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world

All those things you put your heart into and that don’t end up turning out? That’s OK. You know these things happen.

10. You want to be the master of your own fate

You aren’t one to sit on your hands and let the winds of fate toss you to and fro. You want to steer your own vessel, be your own crew, and chart your own course. Fate has no hold on you.

9. You’re pretty smart

We’re not talking about IQ test smart. Or grade smart. We’re talking about just plain SMART. Whatever your speciality is, or maybe in just about everything you do, you have a knack for making it work.

7. You want to grow as a person

You know you’re pretty great as you are. But you want to get even greater. Nobody is ever perfect, which means we can always be even more awesome versions of ourselves. That’s what you want to be.

5. You don’t let fear stop you from doing what you want to do

It’s not that you don’t get scared. Like, a lot. But even when you’re scared, you still do it. You don’t let it stop you. You fight through it. You are greater than your fear.

4. You have no idea what your place in this world is

Oh, you thought this was a strike against you going to college? Nah. Being totally unsure what you’ll do with your life and how you fit into the world is a sure sign you’ll benefit from college.

3. You feel like there’s a billion things you could do, but aren’t sure which one you SHOULD do

You’re capable of so many things. Whether you’re particularly talented at one thing or another, or just can do whatever needs to be done. But which one should you do? You don’t know. But you want to find out.
