Sainsbury's and Morrisons have recalled certain packs of chocolate éclairs over fears they may contain pieces of metal.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued the alert after the supplier, Bakkavor, raised the alarm.

The products being recalled include Sainsbury’s 4 Belgian Chocolate Éclairs

brand and packs of 12 Belgian Chocolate Profiteroles and Morrisons Cake Shop 4 Cream Chocolate Éclairs.

The FSA has listed the expiry dates for the products here.

"It has been brought to our attention that a small number of products may contain very small pieces of metal," Sainsbury's said in the recall notice.

"As a precautionary measure we are asking consumers to return them to their nearest store, where they will receive a full refund."

Morrisons said it was recalling them as a precautionary measure.
