Map the Fallen

In honor of Memorial Day, here’s a project that uses Google Earth to map US and Coalition military casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan.

You can see photos of the men and women who have died in these wars, find their hometowns, and learn where and how they died. The guy who created the map, Sean Askay, has been working on it for four years on his own time.
