40 Products That'll Probably Improve Your Productivity (And Life)

Where's your medal? You deserve one.

We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. An Ecotools makeup brush shampoo to help you from yourself, aka buying new makeup brushes instead of cleaning your *existing* ones. And this bb has a super simple and clean ingredient list, just as it should be. (Because your brushes ultimately go back and all around your face!), Amazon

This cleanser is hypoallergenic, paraben-, phthalate-, and petroleum-free, and contains no perfumes or skin irritants. To get even more out of this shampoo, try pairing it with a cleaning pad (just obvs don't run things like Beautyblenders over it!)

Promising review: "I have tried cleaning my cosmetic brushes with all different kinds of soaps, shampoos, you name it. But this stuff blows anything else out of the water. It has a light clean scent and works wonders in a matter of seconds on even the dirtiest brushes. Every single one of them look brand new! The best part is it is gentle enough to not ruin cheaper brushes and seems to work on organic and synthetic brushes as well. Buy this product. You will not regret it!" —Kota Hurt

Get it from Amazon for $4.79.

    2. A Neutrogena Bright Boost Moisturizer + SPF 30 that'll give your skin not one, but two things it truly needs: hydration and sun protection. Hello, shorter morning routine!

    @neutrogena / Via

The key ingredients include neoglucosamine, a skin-resurfacing and brightening ingredient that's also a building block of hyaluronic acid for that dose of hydration, moringa seed oil extract, a collagen production booster, and vitamin C and vitamin E for more brightening and nourishment.

I usually prefer my SPF separate from my other skincare products/steps — yet somehow, from the first time I used this moisturizer + SPF many months ago, it quickly became one of my fave sunscreens. And I take sunscreen very seriously! I just give the container a lil' shake and it absorbs quickly, doesn't leave a white cast, and gives my skin a boost of hydration, brightening, and most importantly, a well-rounded layer of SPF 30 protection. (I appreciate the fact that it's not just SPF 15, which a lot of moisturizers + SPF products seem to cop out with.) If I feel like my skin needs extra hydration, I'll apply a separate moisturizer, but on days I feel like my nighttime skincare routine really did its job well, I'll just slap this on and call it a morning!

Get it from Amazon for $17.48.

    3. Handy biodegradable Bottle Bright cleaning tablets to keep all of your water bottles and deep-reaching containers sparkling clean and odor-free, so you can go on hydrating yourself like the responsible human you are. Trust us on this, don't overwork your arm muscles and scrub away at months-old stains when you can just pop a tablet in and let it work its foaming magic.

Promising review: "Be sure to use hot water; even though it won't foam as much, it seems to do a lot better job. The first time I used these on a Contigo travel mug I used room-temp water, and it just came out okay. For the next travel mug I used boiling water and the results were terrific. It looks new again. Then I used two cubes (and boiling water) in a large old pressure cooker that had become brown inside from years of making vegetable soups, and I'm amazed how clean it came out. That pressure cooker stain persisted throughout dozens of scrubbing sessions and dishwasher runs, so I figured the Bottle Bright wouldn't help either, but it did!" —MisterPlow

Get it from Amazon for $8+ (available in packs of 12 and 36).

    4. A four-piece drawer organizing set for anyone who just wants to have their delicates and socks organized for once in their, like all of us. Easy access = easy mornings!

Promising review: "Bought this for my daughter who moved in to her college dorm to help her keep her limited dresser drawer space organized. She says that it's great for keeping her things organized, but also helpful to see when she's running low on underwear or socks, and therefore needs to get a load of clothes done!" —Lori B.

Get it from Amazon for $14.87 (available in four colors).

    5. A best-selling beeswax-infused wood polish and conditioner that'll miraculously erase water stains and scratches, and prevent further drying, fading, and deterioration of All! Wood! Finishes! Your furniture will look so sleek that you'll be fielding questions left and right about that "new" coffee table and cabinet.

Promising review: "This stuff is absolutely AMAZING. My wife and I were getting tired of looking at our worn-out cabinets and wood paneling and were very close to paying a professional thousands of dollars to refinish it all, but then we came across this product. Our paneling and cabinets were looking rough. We have two dogs that jumped up and scratched places. We also had an area that was damaged by water spots where our dog bowls were. Several other areas were just worn from heavy traffic. This stuff was like a magical eraser for water spots, scratches, scuffs, and any other blemish. We simply wiped the product on with a paper towel and let is sit for 20 minutes before wiping it off with a clean towel. Everything looks brand new. I'm buying a couple more so we can finish our cabinets and wood paneling. We're so glad we found this product." —Kris

Sure, you could store all of this info digitally or on your phone, but there's something more personal and satisfying about hand-writing your lists. More motivation to actually cook food too, perhaps!

Promising review: "I’ve been starting to get into meal prepping and this planner really helps! I like being able to look up recipes on my phone, then write down whatever ingredients I still need on the grocery list section of this planner. The magnetic part is cool because you can hang it on the fridge, but I love how the grocery list section can be ripped off so you can take it to the store, but the daily meal plans remain on the fridge so you can stay organized. This is a very simple idea, but it’s cute and helps keep me organized and motivated to plan out my meals." —Samantha M.

I've had my pink pair for nine months and counting, and I'm never going back to traditional wired buds. In fact, all I can tolerate now is this short wrap-around-the-neck wire! The noise reduction isn't 100%, but it blocks pretty much everything at the office (but if someone talks to me, I won't be startled lol) *and* a dang impressive level of noise on my very loud subway commute to and from work, so I never have to blast my music at an uncomfortably high volume. Also, they blow first-edition AirPods out of the water in terms of noise reduction *and* are wayyyy cheaper, just sayin'. Plus, each charge gives you eight hours of talk/music time, and they only take an hour or two to fully charge. They also have magnetic backs, so they can snap together when you're not using them.

I’m a serious audiophile. I don’t mess around with bad sound. These are every bit worth the price. Sound quality is excellent. I tested it on some bass-heavy tracks and noticed the high end was still very well defined. If your considering buying those, don’t doubt yourself. You will be well satisfied. Sarah Han / BuzzFeed

That's my hair right there! As you can see, it really picks up all of the annoyingly too-short hairs near the nape of my neck that I can't gather into a high ponytail or bun. (Don't mind the remaining front-framing wispies in the "after" photo — those are there on purpose!) There is one main caveat though: I only use it if I know I'll be washing my hair either that night or the next, since it does still ~stiffen~ the areas of hair I use it on — but it's better than hairspray, in my opinion *and* the reviewer's opinion down below. Some reviewers say that they can just brush the gel out, but I'd prefer to just wash it out.

Promising review: "I cannot put my hair up in a high pony or bun now *without* using this product. Promising review: "I always kill my plants but I decided to try again. I just bought five houseplants, and three of them were marked down because they were looking pretty puny. Since I tend to kill them anyway, I figured I would give them a try and save some money. I put one of these spikes in each plant and they all looked so much healthier and happier after just a couple days. I also added one spike to the only houseplant that I've had for years without killing (I was beginning to think it was artificial), and the leaves looked healthier almost immediately. Last night, I put these on a few acne problems (a small cyst, a whitehead, and a pimple I shouldn’t have picked and has been a bump for about three weeks now.) Promising review: "I have tried EVERYTHING, but because I am barefoot all the time, my heels crack (gross!!!)...a lot. Sometimes they split open and it can be incredibly painful. I've tried creams, lotions, oils, you name it. Based on the reviews on Amazon, I thought I would give this foot cream a try, because I had recently had a split appear and it was super painful to walk on. After about three days of applying this cream at bedtime, the pain started to go away because my skin was finally soft enough to heal. It leaves a weird residue on your hands after application, which can be easily washed off, but it made all the difference for my normally cracked and dry heels. Promising review: "Every week we have things like carrots, sugar snap peas, green beans, lettuce, grapes, and blueberries all in our fridge at once, but by the end of the week, things start to get a little ugly. It's hard enough to get my family to eat vegetables without them getting slimey by the end of the week. These new containers have been great! Not a single vegetable gets slimey! All of our fruits and vegetables last much longer in these, and I love that I can actually wash the food using the green insert and it drains instead of leaving a pool. We put the vegetables and grapes in this medium size bin and berries in the smaller size bin. I also love that our fridge ends up looking so tidy and organized while still being able to see everything." —Allison

    34. A Dr. G brightening peeling gel, aka a physical exfoliatior that'll work wonders on your uneven skin — the gel instantly forms into little balls of cellulose that sloughs off way more dead skin cells and surface debris than you thought possible for a smoother, brighter (Hello, vitamins C and E!) complexion. This is *the* definition of a productive, heavy-lifting skincare product!

    Soko Glam

And despite its intense nature, it's totally gentle enough for sensitive skin and it's packed with calming ingredients like honey, black willow, and aloe.

Promising review: "My skin is visibly smoother and brighter, and I feel like the rest of the products I use are working better because there’s less dead skin cells to get passed. I have been doing the 10-step routine for six months with wonderful results, but I felt like I had hit a plateau. Now with this exfoliating gel added to my arsenal, I have hit a new level of skin happiness." —Piano L.

    35. An argan oil, vitamin E, and aloe vera Herstyler hair serum that'll help transport your dry, frizzy hair to ~Smooth Strands Station~ where they belong! And for way less than the cost of a trip to the salon. You'll basically be your own pro hairstyler! Herstyler, get it now? Hahaha., Amazon

Over 2,000 reviewers swear by it for good hair days!

Promising review: "This is the most amazing hair serum I have ever used in my life. I skeptically tried a sample pack given to me by this lady at the mall, expecting it to just be yet another hair serum. But wow, was I wrong. It smells awesome, the scent lasts all day (as opposed to only about an hour with other serums), and it makes my hair the softest it's ever felt. I can't stop playing with my hair all day long — that's how soft it is. I put this stuff in right before straightening, and it literally cuts my straightening time in half. Not that my hair takes long to straighten anyway (normally about 10 minutes), but this stuff lets me straighten my hair in five minutes tops. I've tried countless hair serums in the past, and literally nothing compares. I'm completely sold, and I'll be buying this stuff for the rest of my life. Love it." —Holly

    36. A high-racerback sports bra that'll actually fit, support, and lift big boobs for those workouts you've been meaning to do since the beginning of 2020 re: resolutions. Now's the time!,

And you know what they won't do? They *won't* dig into your shoulders or ribs, give you under-boob rashes, or just generally feel uncomfortable to wear all friggin' day long! Reviewers note that they're not great for high-impact workouts, but they should definitely do the trick for yoga and low-to-mid impact workouts!

Promising review: "I have always hated bras, but they are a necessary evil for I usually just stick to sports bras. I have struggled to find ones that not only fit right, but have the amount of hold and comfort I need. These are the best of all worlds! They aren't too tight but give the right amount of support. They fit my cup size perfectly (I ordered the 3XL), and the colors work under all my clothes." —Rachel Anderson

    37. Waterproof screen repair tape for mending torn screens in a snap. Yes, you can definitely tell the tape is ~there~, but it beats having to make a dedicated trip to the store to buy a whole new screen. It's called efficiency, look it up., Amazon

Promising review: "Holy cow! This stuff WORKS! I had been using regular packing tape to patch up my screen door that was riddled with holes and tears, but those mosquitoes were making their way in...and it looked terrible. I picked up a roll of this just to check it out and, man, the repair is practically like I installed a new screen! I did install it on the outside (I think it works better that way), and my door looks MUCH more normal now, and without a single weak spot." —Steven

Promising review: "This is the only thing that works for me. I'm 44 and for the past four years, my skin has been throwing a hissy fit. No matter what I tried, my pores were screaming through my makeup. Makeup sinking into the pores will turn any good foundation into a pool party on your face. Finally a month ago I found No Pore Blem and for me it really works. I have combo-dry skin, weather depending. I do not find it makes my skin oily, but maybe it's not friendly to all skin types, specifically oily. My foundation sets nicely over it (no sinking) and stays on for about eight hours before needing a touchup. And of course my pores are barely visible!! I'm happy." —KPak

    39. A pack of durable reusable organic bamboo pads to lessen your impact on the environment while ~effectively~ getting rid of every bit of stubborn, long-lasting eye makeup — we're not letting waterproof mascara win. Just toss 'em in the washer (in their little mesh bag!) and they're good as new.

And bonus, you save money over time too — one organic makeup remover pad can apparently be used up to 1000 times!! Pro tip: Some reviewers hand wash the pads with soap and water after *each* use in addition to tossing them in the washer every week or so, which helps with any off-white discoloration.

Promising review: "These are really nice, and a must if you are eco-conscious! I use a cleansing balm to assist in removing my makeup and this balm requires a cloth to fully remove the balm/makeup from your skin. They’re much better than using disposable cotton rounds since they don’t fall apart, and they’re softer than a traditional washcloth. This bamboo fabric is super soft and durable. It feels good on the skin and gently but thoroughly wipes away your makeup and cleansers. I absolutely LOVE that it comes with a garment bag so that you don’t lose them in the washing machine. I choose to wash these in the cold delicate cycle. I totally recommend these!! I think they’re a great value!" —Phillip A. Rzewski
