We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. A jar of the insanely popular Aztec Secret Bentonite Clay Mask for cleansing your pores and helping banish your acne bit by bit.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca, BuzzFeed

You can mix it with either apple cider vinegar or water, spread it on your face, and let it dry before rinsing it off.

Check out BuzzFeed's full guide on this mask for more tips and before and after photos!

Get a jar on Amazon Canada for $12.34.

    2. A non-stick oven liner that'll be MUCH easier to clean than the charred floor of your oven when your weekend baking experiment gets a little *too* wild.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Instead of burnt sugar stuck to the impossible-to-reach back left corner of your oven, you'll be able to just pull this mat out and wash it like a dish in your sink. FYI, if you have a gas oven or an electric oven without an exposed heating element, you should only use this on a rack, never directly on the bottom of the oven (and no matter what type of oven you have, you should never cover any holes or vents in the oven with this — and you should always trim it to size). Read the full instructions to know more!

Get a pack of three on Amazon Canada for $19.90.

    3. A pair of charcoal shoe deodorizers that can suck the moisture out of your sweaty shoes after a long day on your feet, making them *much* less hospitable to those bacteria that cause that unwelcome stench.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Get the pack of four on Amazon for $24.95.

Yi, another writer here at BuzzFeed, has actually tried these out on a couple of pairs of leather flats and says they do work! Read her Moso shoe deodorizer review for more.

    4. Or an odour eliminator spray to eradicate stink on pretty much anything that's dealt with lots of dried sweat: shoes, sports equipment, mattresses, gym clothes, and more.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Get a two-pack on Amazon Canada for $14.99.

    5. A foam kitchen sponge that seriously lasts for months (and months, and months) on end without getting stinky, no matter how many dishes you wash.

    Natalie Brown / BuzzFeed

I used one of these from July 2018 and it didn't get smelly until March 2019 — a full NINE MONTHS — and I think it was only because I started to slack on my sponge hygiene. (Granted, I live alone, have a dishwasher, and tend to tackle my messiest dishes with these plastic scrapers before I scrub them with my soapy sponge. But I've NEVER seen a regular sponge last that long.)

This is my basic sponge hygiene: 1) always rinse it out completely so there isn't any food left sitting on it and 2) when you're done washing your dishes, squeeze it out well and leave it somewhere it will actually dry.

Get a pack of three on Amazon for $18.20.

These were also one of the BuzzFeed Reviews picks for best kitchen sponges, where you can read our full review.

    6. A pack of fizzing cleaning tablets — you drop them into almost any seemingly-permanently-stained travel travel mug, slow cooker, or stainless steel water bottle to banish those stains and slimy build-up, without scrubbing even one little bit.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Get a box of 12 tablets on Amazon Canada for $12.99.

    7. An anti-friction and blister stick that'll stop that irritating summer chafe right in its tracks.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

It's allergen free and made from plant-derived ingredients. The balm creates an invisible barrier against rubbing caused by clothing, footwear, or skin.

Get it on Amazon Canada for $13.99.

    8. Or a set of anti-chafing thigh bands to let you skip the sticks and powders AND walk in your dresses all day without a single complaint from your legs.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

A BuzzFeed producer tested four different products for chub rub, and crowned these one of the winners!

Get them on Amazon Canada for $28.98. Available in eight sizes and four styles.

    9. This stainless steel "soap" bar that will instantly eliminate the smell of garlic, onion, or seafood from your hands.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

The bar is made from light-weight, stainless steel. The molecules in the steel bind with the sulfur molecules on your hands, and transfers the molecules, along with the smell, from your hands to the metal. Thanks, Science!

Get it on Amazon Canada for $13.99.

    10. An eyeliner with a wing stamp that reviewers swear actually makes it possible to get a nice, neat, even wings in just a couple of minutes, without being a professional makeup artist.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

You get two dual-sided pens: one each with the left and right wings. The other sides = straight eyeliner.

Get the set of two pens on Amazon Canada for $17.97.

    11. A pack of 50 slimline hangers because they'll instantly create extra inches on your closet rod — you don't even have to get rid of any clothes. Plus, they're non-slip so even the silkiest spaghetti straps stay put.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Get a 50-pack on Amazon Canada for $25.99. Also available in a pack of 30.

    12. Did You Feed The Dog, a switch pad to make sure your pups can't ever trick multiple humans into feeding them multiple times in one day.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Get it on Amazon Canada for $9.95. Also available for cats.

    13. A drain millipede that will finally help you tackle the hair-and-slime-monster who's been blocking up your sink and shower drains for far too long by extracting it from the depths of your pipes.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Get one on Amazon Canada for $9.95.

    14. And a silicone drain cover to catch every last bit of hair *before* it can even begin to clog up your pipes.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

This model fits nicely over any drain, whether it's a pop-up, sink-in, or flat and flush to the rest of the tub.

Get it on Amazon Canada for $16.99.

    15. A bug catcher so you can stand at a distance, grab the pesky little guy without injuring him, then take him outside and release him safely somewhere that isn't your bathroom.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Get it on Amazon Canada for $26.99.

    16. And a bug bite suction tool — it lets you gently extract at least some of the pesky venom that makes the bite itch, so even if the bite doesn't go away completely, you don't feel such an urge to scratch.

    Rebecca O'Connell / BuzzFeed / Via amazon.ca

Bek, an editor here at BuzzFeed, owns one of these and notes that while it doesn't completely get rid of your bites, it does put a halt to the itching. It works with mosquitoes, bees, wasps, biting flies, no-see-ums, chiggers, and sea lice! Note that some reviewers say the suction can be really strong, so try to use it gently; and the company doesn't recommend using it on your neck or face, because it can cause bruising there. Read the full directions before using it!

Get one from Amazon Canada for $28.99.

    17. A copy of The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up (aka Marie Kondo's book) if one of your goals for the new year is to get rid of the stuff you don't need — or even just the clothes you don't wear.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Although it's helped me declutter a BUNCH of old clothes, you definitely don't have to take every word seriously, just the stuff that you find useful.

Get it on Amazon Canada for $19.79. (Or if you're looking for something a little more low-key or the concept of "sparking joy" doesn't appeal to you, I also like and recommend this book.)

    18. A cutting board with seven mats each labeled for a specific purpose, making it easy to swap out for a clean mat when you're done prepping the beef and want to switch to slicing bread.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Each mat fits snugly into top of the cutting board so they don't slide around while you chop, then seamlessly store in its base.

Get it on Amazon Canada for $47.36.

    19. A fabric shaver — you shouldn't throw out a sweater, throw, pillow, chair, or any other piece of fabric just because it's started to pill! This easily eliminates those pesky little buggers to make your fabrics look brand new.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Get it on Amazon Canada for $17.98.

    20. A Drop Stop Seat Gap Filler, which fits perfectly around your seatbelt to catch anything that might normally slip through the cracks.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

It will help prevent dangerous distractions and keep your eyes on the road. You'll never have to dig around for your keys, phone, or loose change again.

Get a pack of two on Amazon Canada for $39.75.

    21. An umbrella to end your search for the best umbrella forever: it's teflon-coated, fortified against rogue wind gusts so it almost never turns inside-out, automatically opens and closes at the touch of a button, weighs less than a pound, and has a lifetime. replacement. guarantee. (No questions asked, no returns necessary).

    youtube.com / Via amazon.ca

Light enough to carry in your bag, tough enough to stand up to the worst wind and rain, and convenient enough to open and close one-handed? Sign me up.

Get one on Amazon Canada for $26.95.

This is yet another BuzzFeed Reviews pick for the best umbrellas!

    22. Some high-fidelity, nearly-invisible earplugs designed to cut down on the decibels during all your favorite concerts (or exercise classes) so your hearing stays protected without completely muffling the music's clarity and sound quality.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Reviewers say they also help people with autism, PTSD, and sensory overload be more comfortable in loud environments! Supposedly they work because of special sound-cutting filters. When you order a set they come with three size options for comfort, and they're reusable and hand washable.

Get them on Amazon for $37.95.

    23. A set of two toothpaste squeezers — you paid for every last ounce of that tube, and these will help ya actually use it all.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Plus, it'll put a stop to anyone in your household who insists on squeezing the tube from the middle.

Get a set of two on Amazon for $13.98.

    24. A clean/dirty dishwasher magnet (or one with a unicorn, or one with dogs) so you — and no one you live with — never puts well-rinsed but still-dirty dishes back in the cabinets again.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

You simply flip them upside down after unloading clean dishes, or setting it to wash.

Get it on Amazon Canada for $6.91.

    25. A dishes squeegee — you'll clean excess food off of plates in half the time it takes to rinse them, *plus* save water in the process.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Plus, it can help your sponge last even longer: it won't get all the little bacteria-causing food particles embedded in it, because you're not using it to wipe the plates down. I have one and use it for sauces, soups, and grease, although because it's a squeegee it doesn't work for stuck-on things (instead, try a plastic scraper). I use it to scrape plates off into the trash, so very little gunk goes down my drain, although if you have a garbage disposal it's perfect for that use, too!

Get it on Amazon Canada for $16.34.

    26. A set of bedsheet fasteners because TBH there's no need to put up with a fitted sheet that always slips off the mattress in the middle of the night.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Get a pack of four on Amazon Canada for $10.99.

    27. A blinds duster that makes this chore extra efficient — it clamps down on two blinds at once, ridding each of dust on top and bottom as you go.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

It comes with five (washable!) microfibre sleeves, so you can dust every blind in the house and still a clean one left over for touch-ups.

Get it on Amazon Canada for $10.99.

    28. A pack of oil blotting sheets that are basically essentials for all of us oily-skinned people who don't want to wash our faces four times a day.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

I finally bought these after putting them in what feels like hundreds of posts, and y'all they really do work as well as people say they do, and are a great price for the number of sheets you get!

Get a pack of 100 sheets on Amazon for $11.59.

    29. Some dog nail clippers that almost anyone can use successfully without causing your pup undue distress, because they're sharp enough to actually cut through nails *and* have an adjustable safety stop help avoid cutting them too short.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

They're best for small to medium sized dogs, and some reviewers also use them for their cats!

Get a pair on Amazon Canada for $16.57.

    30. An oven thermometer because if everything you bake always comes out over- or under-done, it's probably your oven's fault, not yours — this shows you the actual temp, not the temp your oven *thinks* it is.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

You also might have "hot spots" in your oven that bake one or two cookies faster than all the other cookies on the sheet, and this can help you locate those — then check your owner's manual for info on how to recalibrate everything so your cakes and pies come out the way the recipes say they will. And it's simple to use: you can either set it directly on the rack with its stand, or hang it wherever you think is best.

Get it on Amazon Canada for $16.53.

    31. A cute little brown sugar bear who just wants to keep your brown sugar perfectly moist, so you never find yourself hacking at an impenetrable rock, hoping to bake cookies.

    Amazon / Via amazon.ca

Both my mom and I have used these for years, and they actually do work! Some reviewers mention you can put it with cookies or bread to keep it soft, too. Just soak it in water for 20 minutes, dry the outside of it thoroughly, and put in your brown sugar bag.

Get one on Amazon Canada for $8.75.
