"Amazing beers and the best Caesar I've ever had!"

5. Wild Rose Brewery in Calgary, Alberta

6. Big in Japan-BAR in Montreal, Quebec

Instagram: @pedrobianchi / Via

"It's a Japanese speakeasy style bar. No sign, just a big metallic door. You walk down a long, draped hallway and pull back the curtains to find a minimalist yet old school, very classy and seductive setting."

– Mia-Kate Messer (Facebook)

7. Le Saint Sulpice in Montreal, Quebec

"I've only been once, several years ago, and I still talk about it. It has the most lovely garden patio that can seemingly fit hundreds! It was such a beautiful place yet still had the simple bar vibe that we all love. It's not often you get outstanding beauty and serenity along with the typical bar experience."

8. Serve Ping Pong in Hamilton, Ontario

"It's a bar where you can also play ping pong!"

– Nicole Brown (Facebook)

9. The Split Crow Pub in Halifax, Nova Scotia

– Nish Lash (Facebook)

11. Big Bad John's in Victoria, British Columbia

"The city's oldest dive bar, and only truly country-themed one. Buckets of peanuts on the tables (and shells all over the floor), years worth of business cards, student cards, and concert tickets shoved under the clear plastic table tops, and an assortment of bras donated by customers hanging from the rafters!"

– Alissa Anne (Facebook)

12. Blind Tiger Coffee Co. in Winnipeg, Manitoba

"The coolest speakeasy no one has ever heard of."

13. The Shameful Tiki Room in Toronto, Ontario

"Awesome atmosphere. It feels like you're in Hawaii. And they have the most delicious Tiki drinks! There's also a location in Vancouver."

– Nish Lash (Facebook)

14. Union Local 613 in Ottawa, Ontario

"Amazingly unique cocktails, cool feminist staff, delicious snacking food, great atmosphere and eclectic art for sale on the walls. And there's another speakeasy hidden behind a bookshelf downstairs!"

– Caroline Wallace (Facebook)

15. The Tannery in Fredericton, New Brunswick

Instagram: @thecapitalcomplex

"It's not so much a bar, but more of a square that is comprised of Dolan's Pub, The Capital Complex, The Phoenix, The Wilsners Room, and Nicky Zee's. On any given night you will find live bands, themed nights like Indie Night or Reggae Night or DJs. And there is always a drink special somewhere and offering something for everyone."

– Sasha Harris (Facebook)

Note: Unfortunately, one of the bars in the square, Nicky Zee's, is now closed but there still are many bars to explore!

17. Cilantro and Chive in Lacombe, Alberta

"Home of Caesers that eat like a meal!"

19. Bartari Videogame Restaurant & Bar in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

"They have a fantastic selection as well as thousands of video games and dozens of consoles you can play them on."
