Let's face it, peopld do stupid things. A LOT. Jerks cut you off in traffic, the cashier at the grocery store takes forever to count your change, and your teacher just assigned you a 5-page paper — it's enough to get you frustrated.
Sometimes it seems that just one day can be enough to drain the last dregs of your faith in this hopeless thing we call the human race.
But then again, humanity surprises us sometimes. And sometimes it's when we least expect it.
.Sometimes humanity surprises us by treating total strangers.
.Surprising someone with food.
.Or school supplies for a well-deserving teacher.
.Or a note.
.Or neatly folded laundry.
.Sometimes, our faith is restored when people return lost or stolen things.
.Without seeking personal reward.
.Or taking anything for themselves.
.Sometimes, people help others get out of a tight spot.
.Even if it takes some effort.
.Faith in humanity skyrockets when someone has a great idea.
.Or sees a need.
.And decides it's more important than their own.
.We restore our faith in humanity when a dad helps his daughter walk.
.Or when someone builds a pig-wheelchair.
.When someone makes sure you're ok.
.Or takes your worst moments and turns them for the better.
.When people change their plans for somebody else.
.When kids think of others who live far away.
.Or close to home.
.When considerate scientists go the extra mile.
.And when young men show nuptial support for people they don't know.
.When humanity looks out for those smaller than themselves.
.Or those caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.
