1. Meet & Treat Cafe

A great urban Hong Kong style cafe. Really amazing coffee but also a fantastic range of authentic pan-asian dishes. A true hidden gem in the city, just on the edge of Chinatown on Bath Lane. It's like a trendy coffee shop in Kennedy Town, Hong Kong serving home-made food just upped itself and moved to the Toon. As well as foodie fans, it's seems to have the most instagrammed floor in the city with it's pretty floor tiles too. They've also got a special Chinese New Year offer this Sunday - takeaway Bluebird teas for half price at only £1.45!

4. Nan Bei

Sadly shut on Sundays I think, but this little place in the Grainger Market is definitely worth seeking out for a quick lunchtime bite.

5. Hi You

The biggest and best Chinese Supermarket in the North East and it's right here in Newcastle city centre. Handy for getting all the right ingredients for getting your wok on at home. Also you've not had a pot noodle, until you've had a Chinese pot noodle.
