Ellen Got Into A Scooter Accident On Her TV Show And You Need To See It (Don't Worry, She And The Scooter Are Fine)

I've never been so thrilled by a low-speed scooter accident.

Listen, a lot of crazy stuff has gone down on The Ellen Show this year. Whether it's Ellen totally forgetting about Katy Perry's marriage to Russell Brand...

...conducting this truly wild interview with Jessica Simpson...

...or catching one of her audience members stealing merchandise, it feels like each week on the show has been crazier than the last. And I'm here to tell you that the trend does not show ANY signs of slowing down. In fact, you might say things have...SPED UP.

    TO TWO MILES PER HOUR.

Earlier this year, Ellen challenged Zach Braff to a scooter race. Pretty standard stuff, TBH.

HOWEVER, the story doesn't end there. After the race Ellen brought the scooter inside to play a prank on Andy by pretending to run over them. But as they say, the best-laid plans of mice and daytime talk show hosts often go awry and Ellen's seemingly innocent prank nearly went horribly, HORRIBLY wrong:

It started innocently enough, with Ellen cruising on stage with the confidence that only comes with winning 20 People's Choice Awards.

But things quickly took a turn for the worse when Ellen lost control of her vehicle and narrowly avoided a collision with some innocent bystanders.

This witness's face really says it all:

Luckily for us, Ellen broke down how the mishap occurred (if anyone from OSHA is watching this, you might want to take some notes):

"So what happened was, the way you make it go, there's a little thing you hook your finger in. And uh, I had forgotten that's what makes it go, so my finger was hooked in, so I was like full speed at two miles an hour, and — but my knee got caught and I was trying to get off of it. And I was still, I was still kind of going, and I realized, 'Oh, it's still going. I'm stuck.'"

Thankfully though, judging by the faces of those involved, it seems like everyone found it funny...

    ...ESPECIALLY ZACH BRAFF.

    Priceless.
