Gay marriage either goes too far, or doesn’t go far enough. Either way, allowing it doesn’t result in consistency of the law. Either all types of unions between consenting adults should be allowed or it should remain as is. The argument should be about the basis of the right. Do we all have a right to marry who we love? Of course not, that could get creepy. However, if we do consider it a right, then are we going far enough in limiting the union to two people? If so, what is the basis for two and only two? If you need to use anything related to tradition, history, religion, or even the tax code to justify the number two, then we’re back to where we started - with one man and one woman.
