    Amazon, amazon.com

It's recommended to change the spikes every 30 days during the spring and summer months!

Promising review: "I have several houseplants that had stopped flowering, so I put a few of these spikes in the pot (there are directions on the back of package for quantity), and approximately a month after using these spikes, my peace lily had three flowers on it, and my African violets plants all got several blooms on them! This worked wonders for my plants that don't flower also! I noticed that my ivy and cactus plants started growing faster, and they became more green and healthy looking. 2. A mold and mildew removal gel for making your bathroom surfaces look brand new. Mold and mildew are bound to happen, but there's no need to fret!

On the left, a photo of mold on a shower well, and on the right, the same shower wall with the mold cleaned away
    Kayla Suazo / BuzzFeed

Promising review: "This mildew remover can destroy any stain in its path — I would know, that is (sadly) my moldy ol' shower above. OK, before you go and judge me, I'd like to defend myself and say that my building is really old. When I moved into my apartment, it looked like there hadn't been repairs since the '60s, and that included re-caulking the bathtub. I tried bleach and every type of shower cleaner at the store, but nothing removed the mold and mildew stains that had been there for like, 40 years. UNTIL I BOUGHT THIS INCREDIBLE MAGIC GEL. The 'before' and 'after' pictures speak for themselves, and were taken after only one treatment. I am one happy customer." —Kayla Suazo

    3. Dishwasher cleaning tablets to clean the machine responsible for cleaning the things you use to eat. Dishwashers are naturally prone to buildup, but you don't wanna be naturally prone to eating with dishes and utensils not 101% clean.

On the left, the inside of a dishwasher gunked up, and on the right, the same dishwasher, but with the gunk pretty much all gone
    amazon.com

These tablets remove odor-causing residue and help get rid of lime and mineral build-up that naturally occurs inside dishwashers. The tablet is designed to last throughout the entire wash cycle, and is recommended for use about once a month. These are safe to use in stainless-steel tub and plastic tub dishwashers.

Promising review: "After using this product, I am happy to report that my $5 investment saved me over $500. I was ready to replace my dishwasher due to super cloudy glasses, residue, and just not getting clean. Then, I became aware that the water softener no longer was doing its job, so I had the rental company replace it. Dishwasher performance improved somewhat. I decided to do two more loads before deciding to purchase a new one. Then I saw a product test review for Affresh in a magazine. I was ordering some stuff from Amazon anyway, so I added that to my order. When it came, I tossed one of the tablets into the bottom of the full machine, per instructions, and ran the regular cycle. I did not expect the results I got! My glassware that I thought was permanently etched and ruined came out like new. Same with cutlery. The difference is unbelievable. I will use this faithfully on a monthly basis, as recommended. I can even put it on my subscribe and save order, so I will get a new pack every six months. I am amazed!" —Sheila

    4. And while you're at it, you'll want to add this pack of washing machine cleaning tablets to your cart as well!

    amazon.com

These are safe to use with front-load washing machines and top-load washing machines, and both high efficiency and conventional machines. Recommended to use once a month!

Promising review: "I have been using bleach to clean my machine for some time, but decided to give this a try a few months ago. My very first clean with Affresh left me surprised and delighted, for not only did it clean my machine, it eliminated the nasty smell that always transferred to my clothes thanks to a build-up of mold I didn't even know about. Every month now, I toss a tablet into the drum and let it work its magic. Now, my machine is cleaner than ever, and my clothes always smell wonderfully fresh. I highly recommend this to everyone." —Kelli Crawford

    5. A garbage disposal foaming cleaner that'll tackle built-up grime and those nasty smells you gag at every time you're near your kitchen sink. It's truly so... disgusting.

    Amazon

Comes with four packets. The biodegradable packet cleans/scrubs away at grime and odor that cause build-up and yucky smells on sidewalls, blades, under the splashguard, and other hidden areas. They come in pre-measured drop-in packets and are recommended to use about once a week!

Promising review: "It seems counterintuitive to put a little packet down your garbage disposal to clean it, but this does actually seem to work, at least for getting out weird smells that baking soda and vinegar don't really touch. I scrub the sink down first, especially around the garbage disposal area, rinse it down, and then just follow the directions on the package. I have used it with single, large-size sinks and with double sinks — only difference is that the double sink will have blue cleaning foam rise up the drain, which you rinse away when the disposal sounds clear again. I have tried the foaming cleaner in a can, but unfortunately it stopped coming out of the can about 10% of the way through. Went back to this tried-and-true." —KS

Get it from Amazon for $7.33.

    6. A bug bite suction tool to help get rid of itchy bites. Kinda rude that little buggies get to munch on our skin and blood and we have to deal with itchiness after.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

This works by suctioning up insect venom, saliva, and other irritants under the skin, which in turn prevents your body from producing a reaction to said irritant.

Promising review: "I am a magnet for bites of all kinds and carry topical and medicines with me at all times — so I figured this would be a good product to see if it really works. It arrived on Monday and on Tuesday morning I woke up with a bug bite on my arm. I used this little tool (3x per the instructions) and documented with photos. Immediately after using, it stopped itching! And less than 24 hours later the bump/bite was gone! There is a very faint red mark from using the thing but a small price to pay IMO. Bottom line: it’s awesome. I’m carrying it with me everywhere!" —Rebecca

Get it from Amazon for $9.95.

    7. Water bottle cleaning tablets that'll get your beloved water bottle back to the condition it was in when you first fell in love with it at the store.

On the left, a before photo of the inside of a rusty and dirty water bottle, and on the right, the same water bottle that's shiny and clean
    amazon.com

Tablets are biodegradable, chlorine-free, all-natural, and environmentally safe. They're individually packaged, and don't require any additional brushing or scrubbing. Good for use on stainless steel bottles, mugs, hydration reservoirs, coolers, dishes, and hard-to-clean plastic containers and bottles.

Promising review: "I seriously can't believe how well these little tablets work. I had the most disgusting HydroFlask coffee mug — I tried everything. A bottle brush, different kinds of soap, vinegar, EVERYTHING, and there was still a seemingly impenetrable layer of black sludge inside. I let a tablet sit in each of my mugs for an hour or two, and the black sludge rinsed out COMPLETELY, without even scrubbing. They look brand new. What a magical product. No weird smell or taste afterward, either. I liked it so much I used it on another HydroFlask I use primarily to hold my Bloody Mary mix in the fridge. I couldn't put anything else in it because it would always taste like spicy tomato juice. Bottle Bright to the rescue! No residual smell or taste anymore. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING." —Amazon Customer

    8. Acne patches you can apply to areas where you're breaking out. Let it sit overnight or throughout the day, peel it off, and watch it take all the pore-clogging gunk with it.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

These patches contain hydrocolloid dressing with a hint of tea tree oil, calendula oil, and cica. The ingredients in this are gentle, ideal for all skin types and tones!

Promising review: "I can't believe how much money I've spent on acne products over the years before I found this. Of all the products with glowing reviews, these patches have been the most effective and worth their cost. I have sensitive combo skin and deal with adult acne on a daily basis. Since my face has dry areas, I'm also more likely to pick at it (TMI, sorry). It's terribly embarrassing to go to work with these kinds of issues day after day, so in addition to taking a prescription, I've been on the hunt for anything topical that would help. The first time I used one of these patches, I put it on at night. The next morning, I woke up and was kind of shocked. It actually did what it was supposed to do. You peel off the patch, and with it comes at least 90% of the nastiness that was clogging your skin. It DRASTICALLY reduces the size of the zit. I've also experimented with using these on cystic acne, and they work wonders for speeding up the clearing and healing process. Also, they're comfortable to wear and stay on your face pretty well overnight!" —Greta H

    amazon.com

Promising review: "Don't get me wrong — my wedding ring was gorgeous before. It did sparkle and still made me smile every day. However...after using this Diamond Dazzle Stik...*oh my goodness*! After one use my ring is absolutely breathtaking! I knew my ring got dirty now and then, simply from sweating and being outside in the elements. However, I never realized just how much dinge and schmutz marred my diamond until I cleaned it. It literally took my breath away with its fiery, dazzling brilliance!" —liltreeclimber

    13. A Snuggle Puppy that's basically a miracle solution to helping ease your pup's loneliness and separation anxiety — it's especially perfect for those crate-training their furry bbs.

    Samantha Wieder / BuzzFeed, Amazon

So, my family JUST got a new puppy — an adorable 8-week-old Havanese named Bailey. We're crate-training Bailey and the first two days were a bit rough for him. He would almost constantly whine/cry when in his crate, to the point that we were only getting about an hour of sleep. I had heard really great things about the Snuggle Puppy, so in a desperate attempt to ease Bailey's separation anxiety and make crate-training easier, as well as to save our sanity, we bought this stuffed toy, and let me tell you, it's made ALL THE DIFFERENCE!

The way it works, is you take this little red heart beat-like ticket, turn it on, and put it inside of the toy, Velcro it shut, and it's meant to make your pup feel as if they're not alone inside the crate. I was hesitant if this would work like I've seen so many reviewers say it worked for them, but it's blown my expectations out of the water. He loves being close to it when he rests in his crate (he also loves chewing it). Best of all, he slept the entire night and has just been so much more calm and happier in his crate. Also, you can opt to buy just the toy itself, or the kit which also comes with a chew toy, and a blanket. I bought the kit which I'm really glad about, because Bailey absolutely LOVES the toy that it came with. I truly cannot say enough good things about this.

Get it from Amazon: the Snuggle Puppy for $39.95 (available in four colors), and the Snuggle Puppy kit for $69.99 (available in three colors).

But this little vegetable chopper is a great little tool that does a wonderful job of chopping and dicing very quickly and uniformly. It's also very easy to clean. The thing is, my old oven has always worked very well, so I couldn't really justify paying $2,000 to replace my working double wall oven only because of cosmetic reasons. Then it dawned on me that maybe if I updated the oven with this metal covering it would look like real stainless steel. So for literally the cost of $10 I updated my oven. But recently I bought a really cute, REALLY snug (at the rib cage) jacquard dress for an upcoming event that I will dress for alone at a hotel. When I first tried it on at the store, I had to ask another customer in the dressing room to zip me up and down...there was just no way I could contort enough to do it myself. But I wanted the dress. So when I got home, I went on Amazon to see what kind of zipper puller uppers were out there. I was hoping to spend $10-12, but after reading all the reviews I decided I had to have something that would not fail me. So I ordered the Zipuller because it had the best reviews and looked the sturdiest. It has worked every time I have used it. Even on that really snug dress. The zipper tab didn't come out of the clasp when I was zipping past the hardest part. Yay! I'm sold and won't be without it from here on out when I know I will need help." —Southern Gal

    33. A universal cleaning gel perfect for getting rid of dust, hairs, crumbs, and more from things like technology items and your car. It's like playing with slime WHILE cleaning, so it's a win/win.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I purchased this product to clean those little spaces in my car filled with random crumbs from my husband and dog hair, and it works amazing. Picked up everything and didn’t leave a residue. The lemon scent was faint and didn’t overpower the vehicle while I was cleaning it. But this definitely got in all the little nooks and crannies." —Kimberly

    34. A bracelet fastener so you can easily clasp your own bracelet together, without needing to rely on someone else being around to help you out.

Promising review: "I can't believe I've waited this long to buy one of these. My eyesight is failing, including my depth perception so wearing bracelets has been difficult unless they are slip on. This jewelry helper is easy to use. Now I can wear bracelets again." —Cat Mom

    35. An auto shut-off outlet — simply plug it into an outlet, use the button to control how many hours before it automatically turns off after using, and uh yeah, it's literally THAT easy to give yourself some peace of mind.

    amazon.com, Amazon

Features a push button so you can set the hours for eight, four, two, one, or hold.

Promising review: "This is the best design of all the countdown timers I've used. I have an individual timer or multiple outlet strip timer on every appliance that could overheat or overcharge, because I worry a lot about fire and don't trust my memory to turn things off. This helps with that!" —MysteryAuthor

    36. A car dip clip so you can drive WHILE dipping your nugs and fries, because it's important to drive safe WHILE enjoying ketchup.

Promising review: "Very useful! I love that the cup is removable so if you have one of those giant Chick-fil-A ketchup cups, it can sit within the holder without the added cup, but a smaller sauce like from Wendy’s can sit inside the additional cup so it won’t fall through." —catherine

    37. Anti-slip silicone glasses sleeves to keep your eyewear where it belongs, ya know, on your face, and NOT slipping and sliding down to the floor and risking getting broken AGAIN.

    The glasses sleeves
    amazon.com

Promising review: "I was a little dubious about these, but my daughter's glasses were always falling off her face and to the floor, so if I could spend a couple of bucks to save her expensive glasses, it was worth a shot. In fact, because you get five pairs, I put a set on my glasses, and I'll be darned if they don't work really well. They add a little bit of bulk to your glasses so if you're extremely fashion-conscious, it's not like tape-on-the-bridge nerdy, but it's there. But if you're more concerned about having your glasses feel like they're going to stay put on your head, then you'll like these. They aren't too thick so you don't really notice them on your ears. In fact, because of the soft silicone, they actually result in less of the occasional soreness I would get from my glasses on my ears sometimes." —Domenico Bettinelli

    38. A condiment fork perfect for attaching to the side of the pickle jar, so you can enjoy your crunchy, salty snack without dipping your hand in a pickle juice bath beforehand.

    Amazon

    This is top-rack dishwasher-safe!

Promising review: "What a great little invention! Who knew that we needed one of these things, but what a handy little gadget to have. This comes with two rings, one that will fit a large jar of pickles and one for a small jar like the size those little sweet gherkins come in. The pickle fork thingy is easy to remove from the holder, and if you want to put it back in the holder after fishing out your pickles without rinsing it, no worries. The little pocket and the bottom can hold a lot of errant pickle juice. It works equally well on jars of olives. It makes removing an olive or two so much more...civilized!" —PT Cruiser
