"A.P. Bio" Is The Best Comedy Series You're Not Watching

This show is what I wish my high school biology class was like, TBH.

We hope you love the shows and movies we recommend! Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of revenue or other compensation from the links on this page. Oh and FYI — platform, prices and other availability details are accurate as of time of posting.

In a year where everything is...stressful to say the least, there's nothing quite like finding the perfect comedy series to binge-watch and take your mind off everything.

    NBC

Introducing A.P. Bio: This lighthearted, easy-to-watch comedy first aired on NBC in 2018, but was dropped after two seasons. Thankfully for us, Peacock picked it up for a third, and with all three seasons available to stream right now, there's no better time to get acquainted with this series.

    NBC

*Note seasons 1 and 2 are completely free to watch! Season 3 is only available to premium members.

For starters, it's a show that has a little bit of everything: humor, romance, revenge, and friendship. A typical episode runtime is about 20 minutes, so it's perfect for a quick binge. But the best part of the series? The characters. With a lineup including Glenn Howerton, Paula Pell, Patton Oswalt, and the incredible actors that portray the students, you're bound to love each of the uniquely wonderful characters.

    NBC

And if you don't love them, you'll at least love to hate them, so it's a win-win.

The plot line of the series focuses on Jack Griffin (Glenn Howerton), a former philosophy professor who never fails to remind people he used to work at Harvard. He loses out on his dream job to his archnemesis, Miles Leonard (Tom Bennett). As a last resort, Jack is forced to live in his dead mother's house in Toledo, Ohio, and accept a position as an Advanced Placement biology teacher at Whitlock High School.

    NBC

From the first day of class, Jack makes it clear to his students that he's there to do anything but teach biology. His goal is to think of ways to leave Toledo, while simultaneously seeking revenge on Miles. He even goes so far as to throw away all of their textbooks. Instead of biology lessons, he utilizes his students, their class time, and even after school hours to scheme up his various missions.

    NBC

Some of his students are really on board with helping him out, like Heather Wilmore (Allisyn Snyder). She has a mysterious personality, refers to Jack as "boss," and can often be seen copying his body language — the perfect recipe for making her Jack's favorite student.

    Peacock

Of course, you also have students like Sarika Sarkar (Aparna Brielle), who are against Jack's blatant disregard of the biology curriculum. While Jack is busy plotting revenge, Sarika tends to plot ways to get a "real" biology teacher in the classroom...or at the very least, her biology textbook back.

    NBC

Another lovable character is Victor Kozlowski (Jacob Houston). He portrays an awkward, nerdy teenage boy who everyone turns their heads from, but he says the funniest things without even trying to be funny. For that reason alone, you can't help but adore him.

    Peacock

I also have to shine a spotlight on the fabulous Anthony Lewis (Eddie Leavy). He's carefree when it comes to school, but gives his all when it comes to channeling his inner superstar. His iconic facial expressions (see example below) are relatable as heck, and he's the kind of person you want to befriend ASAP.

    NBC

It would be a dishonor to leave without mentioning Principal Ralph Durbin (Patton Oswalt), an easygoing guy who never knows how to say no, and his secretary, Helen Henry Demarcus (Paula Pell). Helen almost always finds herself getting into some sort of odd shenanigan or another, and will leave you laughing hysterically with every silly thing she does.

    Peacock

Believe it or not, this only scratches the surface of what you can expect to see in the show. There are so many more amazing adventures and characters to discover, so head over to Peacock to get started on your A.P. Bio binge-watch. FYI — seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream for free. Premium members can also stream Season 3. Happy learning-ish!

    NBC

There are tons of things you can watch on Peacock for FREE(!!!), but if you want even more content, you can sign up for Peacock Premium for $4.99 a month or Peacock Premium Plus for $9.99 a month after a seven-day free trial.
