    1. Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013–present)

    The NYPD 99th Precinct is filled with an eclectic team of detectives — there's the talented Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) whose lack of taking anything seriously causes conflict with the stern new commanding officer, Captain Ray Holt (Andre Braugher). There's the lovable Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), the clumsy but hardworking Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), the smart and tough Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz), and the sarcastic Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti) — just to name a few.

    2. Parks and Recreation (2009–2015)

    Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) is the Deputy Director of the Parks and Recreation department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana. As Leslie and her team try to make their town a more fun and healthy place to live, they often find themselves getting caught up in hilarious shenanigans.

    3. Downton Abbey (2010–2015)

    This very popular British historical drama follows the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants in the early 1900s. It depicts real-life historic events from the time period (think World War I and the sinking of the Titanic) and how the characters dealt with them.

    4. Parenthood (2010–2015)

    Parenthood is one of those shows that feels like a much-needed warm hug. It centers on the lives of the Braverman family: Zeek and Camille, their four adult children — Adam, Sarah, Crosby, and Julia — and each of their own families. It focuses on realistic family drama and struggles, and will leave you wanting to rewatch it over and over again.

    5. Noughts + Crosses (2020–present)

    This British drama series is based on the 2001 novel series of the same name by Malorie Blackman. The series is set in an alternate universe where Black "Cross" people rule white "Nought" people, and it focuses on topics like racial privilege and prejudice.

    6. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999–present)

    Each episode of this popular drama series features new cases to solve. The episodes are very loosely based on real crimes as it follows the style of the original Law & Order. Fun fact: the show has received 91 award nominations.

    7. Hell's Kitchen (2005–present)

    In this popular cooking competition show, chefs scramble to compete for a highly coveted spot as head chef at a restaurant, but of course, there are challenges along the way, given that none other than celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is the host.

    8. Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist (2020–present)

    Imagine if you could hear people's inner thoughts. Now imagine if you could hear people's inner thoughts but in the form of them singing and giving you an elaborate performance. Well, that's a reality for Zoey Clarke, who has to learn to balance life with her newfound superpower, working at a male-dominated tech company, dealing with romantic feelings for her best friend, and taking care of her sick father.

    9. A.P. Bio (2018–present)

    This hilarious show follows Jack Carson Griffin, a former Harvard philosophy professor who ends up taking a gig as an advanced placement biology teacher when he doesn't get his dream job. Instead of teaching his students the curriculum, he uses them to get revenge on his own enemies. Now that's a class I would gladly take.

    10. 30 Rock (2006–2013)

    This workplace comedy series featuring Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Jack McBrayer, Alec Baldwin, and more is set behind the scenes of a fictional live sketch comedy show that airs on NBC. It makes sense considering its executive producer is the creator/producer of SNL, none other than Lorne Michaels. The show was taken off Netflix years ago, but thankfully, you can watch it now on Peacock.

    11. The Real Housewives (2006–present)

    This reality franchise features groups of affluent housewives in different parts of the country and all of the drama that ensues within their friendships, relationships, and families. If you're really into reality television, then you're bound to get hooked.

    12. Superstore (2015–present)

    This beloved sitcom takes viewers along on the day-to-day adventures of Amy (played by America Ferrera), her clueless boss, and her coworkers at a St. Louis big-box store called Cloud 9.

    13. Everybody Hates Chris (2005–2009)

    Jane Lynch hosts this fabulous game show that features two people and a group of celebrities in each episode competing in a series of party games and quizzes that test their pop culture knowledge. What are they playing for? The chance to bring home $25,000.

    15. Five Bedrooms (2019–present)

    In this dramedy, five different people (Liz, Ben, Harry, Ainsley, and Heather) meet at the singles table at a wedding, have a little too much to drink, and make the decision to buy a house together. Their socioeconomic, cultural, and personal differences will either make this a great decision or one they regret.

    16. George Lopez (2002–2007)

    In this popular sitcom, George Lopez plays a fictional version of himself, who is a devoted husband, father to two kids, an employee at an aviation factory, and trying to balance life with his difficult mother who lives with them.

    17. Everybody Loves Raymond (1996–2005)

    Raymond "Ray" Barone is a family man and a sports writer from Long Island. His mother, Marie (Doris Roberts) can usually be found interfering in one aspect of his life or another, and Ray, who rarely takes things seriously, can be found making jokes in almost every situation.

    18. Saturday Night Live (1975–present)
