What Is Your Favourite Poem Of All Time?

Are you a Shakespeare, Plath, or Amanda Gorman fan?

It's World Poetry Day on Sunday, so we want to know – what's your favourite poem of all time?

Maybe you like something comical and sweet, like Wendy Cope's "The Orange"?

At lunchtime I bought a huge orange The size of it made us all laugh I peeled it and shared it with Robert and Dave They got quarters and I had a half

Or maybe you prefer a nice sonnet like Keats's "Bright Star"?

Bright star, would I were stedfast as thou art Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night
And watching, with eternal lids apart Like nature's patient sleepless Eremite

Maybe Audre Lorde's "Generation II" is more your preference for poetry?

A Black girl going into the woman her mother desired and prayed for walks alone and afraid of both their angers

Or perhaps you love Stevie Smith's classic elegy "Not Waving but Drowning"?

Nobody heard him, the dead man But still he lay moaning I was much further out than you thought And not waving but drowning

Whatever it may be, tell us your favourite poem and WHY you love it in the comments below and you could be featured in a future BuzzFeed Community post or video!
