A brush with the beyond

It's night, and you and your partner are away for the weekend staying at a hotel. You awake in the middle of the night to see someone standing in a shadowy corner of the room. You blink and see it's just a hat-rack, but in the morning you discover there is no hat-rack in that corner of the room. You consult your partner who says they also got up in the middle of the night because they couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched – but watched by whom...

One day in the future you'll be riding on a bus, minding your own business, and a woman dressed in nice but disheveled clothing, will get your attention and ask you for the time. A few months from now, you are tucked up in bed having a difficult time getting to sleep. In the morning you wake up feeling refreshed, but when you check your phone it's dead. You could swear you put it on charge last night. When your phone starts up again, you find that the video you were listening to stopped after two minutes when your phone died; the whispering, you recall, did not...
