1. Start help in the community!

For example, if you join a donating club for random people in the streets, you will help those people who are in need and will benefit your source. There are about thirty percent of the population in the world who suffer so much in many different ways, such as people in Somalia who are suffering from famine. Consequently, people will donate money, which will accumulate and eventually add up into a huge amount of money to help these people.

2. Gain experience!

For instance, joining a reading club, writing club, acting club, fundraising club, or even a cooking club will give you experience and skills in that field. Thus, you will be exposed to so many different fields which might help you make the decision of choosing your career.

3. Make some new friends!

Exposing yourself in different locations will result in mingling with new and different people than the one you normally meet. Making new friends will allow you to face different personalities and characteristics. This explains that at some point in your life, you will be familiar with different types of personalities which teaches you how to deal with others you may meet in the future. This will also help you choose your friends wisely on the long run.

4. Healthy for your mind and body!

Volunteering helps counteract the effects of stress, anger, and anxiety. The social contact aspect of helping and working with others can have a profound effect on your overall psychological well-being. Volunteering also combats depression. Volunteering keeps you in regular contact with others and helps you develop a solid support system, which in turn protects you against depression.
