Which Drink Will Get You Drunkest?

See if you can guess which of these boozy drinks is the booziest.

Posted on

How drunk you get is influenced by a variety of factors. But the most basic factor is the amount of actual alcohol you’re drinking.

But guess what: Not even a glass of wine or a shot of tequila is 100% pure alcohol. To find out how much actual alcohol a drink contains, you have to multiply the serving size (like 5 ounces of wine or 1.5 ounces of tequila) by the alcohol by volume (ABV) of that drink.

Keep in mind that we're using standard serving sizes here, which doesn't account for bartenders with a heavy hand or using your favorite oversized mug as a wine glass. Also, we're talking about a single drink. And unless otherwise noted, assume that all distilled spirits in this quiz are 40% ABV (80 proof) and that triple sec is 15% ABV (30 proof).
