Hi there! And welcome to BuzzFeed Shopping's list of the best sleeper sectionals you can buy online right now.
Let's talk criteria and lingo.
Sofa vs. couch, what's the difference? A sofa and a couch are the same thing, and both terms are used interchangeably in this article.
A sectional is a sofa with either an L or U shape, which can happen when you add a chaise lounge, ottoman, or more seating to either side of a traditional sofa. L-shaped sectionals are, by far, the most popular style right now, but U-shaped sectionals are still a great choice, especially if you have ample space and have a large family or love to entertain. Most L-shaped sectionals are a combination of a sofa and a chaise lounge, and are typically smaller than a U-shaped one.
Converting a sectional to a bed can happen four ways:
- It has a pull-out mattress that makes a proper bed.
- The pieces of the sectional are modular and can be moved around to make the shape of a bed, without the use of a traditional mattress.
- The sectional has a pull-out bed that isn't a mattress, but converts the seating area of the sectional to a bed shape.
- The sectional's a futon with a back that folds down to make a bed.
These days, a lot of sectionals have chaise lounges or ottomans with storage underneath. Most have a fabric handle (you can spot them in the photos) that you use to easily lift up the top half of the piece to access the storage underneath. On this list, we will always state if a chaise or ottoman has storage.
A note about firmness: Most converter sectionals are on the firmer side, which is great if that's your preference or you'll use it as a bed a lot (firmer bed = better sleep). If you're adamant about wanting really soft cushions, a sectional with a pull-out mattress might be a better fit for you because it's a separate mattress, and therefore, the cushion firmness doesn't matter.
A note about sizing: Measure, measure, measure before you buy a sectional. Some ship as two big pieces of furniture, others ship as modular pieces that you put together. Most come without their feet/legs attached. Always check to make sure the boxes that the piece ships in can fit through your front door, hallways, and tight corners, and your building's elevator and stairwells if you live in an apartment or condo. If you're sure you can't fit a traditional big piece through your home, consider a modular option that ships in separate boxes that you put together on site. In this article, measurements will be listed in inches as W (width) x D (depth) x H (height) and will be the overall dimensions.
1. A brown faux leather sectional with a pull-out bed and chaise storage and cup holders on each sofa arm, so you have everything you need for your next epic movie night. This upholstery is GREAT for a sectional that'll get a lot of use, as it's way more stain-resistant than traditional leather.

2. A massive U-shaped sectional with chaise storage and tufted back cushions that easily converts to a bed, which is so necessary during the holidays or when you have unexpected overnight guests. Pro tip: Store bedding, especially pillows, in the chaise so you can free up room in your closet. This is the largest sectional on this list.

3. A sectional with a pullout mattress and storage from Article. Because the mattress is a foldout, the cushions on this are extra cushy and comfortable — perfect for those of us who like to sink into our sofas when we sit down.

4. A U-shaped modular sectional with ample storage that reconfigures into a full-sized mattress. This piece ships in seven packages that you assemble on-site, which is perfect for those of us who need a big sectional but have a home with small doors, narrow hallways, and tight corners.
5. A compact sectional with a pull-out bed and storage that's under $500. This is the most budget-friendly pick on our list, and for good reason. Reviewers swear that despite the low price, it doesn't sacrifice quality or comfort.

6. A six-piece sectional that you can convert to a bed just by reconfiguring the pieces, aka no need to pull out a mattress and dress a bed. The seat and back cushions are removable for easy cleaning.

7. A Crate & Barrel sleeper sectional with a queen air mattress that inflates in just 25 seconds. And with over 200 fabric options, it's no wonder this is the brand's bestselling sleeper sofa. The ottoman also doubles as storage.
8. A U-shaped sectional with a pull-out bed and ample storage, because you want to get the most bang for your buck. As a sectional, it can easily sit five to six people, and if you pull out the bed part, everyone can lounge together while you take in the latest Love Is Blind episode.

9. A light blue sleeper sectional with cup holders and a storage chaise so you truly never have to leave your little nest when you're all cozy.

10. A linen sleeper sectional with chaise storage if you want to add a burst of sunny color to your interior. The chaise can store a variety of things (though I always opt for extra bedding), and the tufted cushions, arm details, and fabric make it look like something from a really expensive furniture showroom.

11. A Pottery Barn sectional with chaise storage that has a pull-out twin mattress. While petite at 79.5" wide, its narrow arms mean extra seating space. This is a perfect fit for someone who loves to entertain and host overnight guests but has limited space.

12. A Joybird mid-century modern-inspired chaise sectional with tufting that converts to a spacious mattress that two can comfortably sleep on. This is a great option if you have overnight guests who like to spread out.

13. And a light gray convertible sleeper sectional with chaise storage that you can conveniently hide all your blankets, bedding, and whatever else in. It's under $1,600, which is a lot of bang for your buck when you consider how big and how many configurations this piece of furniture has.

14. A reversible sleeper sectional equipped with all of the bells and whistles you could ever want in a sofa. Reversible chaise? Check! Built-in storage? Check! A large ottoman that can be pushed against the sofa to turn it into a sleeper? Check!
Promising review: "Very easy to assemble. I did it alone with no problem. It's definitely firm but it's comfortable. I threw a blanket and some pillows on it and it definitely helped with the comfort level. Good looking and just the style I was looking for." –rd
