2021 Was Clearly Olivia Rodrigo's Year, And Here Are Just 16 Of Her Most Astonishing Moments From The Year

Good 4 u, Olivia!!!

You know that song about a girl getting her driver’s license and her heart broken that you heard on a continuous loop for about a good three months?? Well, in case you’ve been living under a rock, that song is called "Drivers License" by the one and only Olivia Rodrigo.

Just that one song was enough to skyrocket her into instant stardom almost overnight, and it was literally just the beginning of a massive 2021. Here are 16 of her biggest moments from this year:

1. Speaking of "Drivers License," Rodrigo dropped the song just eight days into the new year, and it actually stopped the world. It broke several massive records, including being the first song in Spotify history to hit 80 million streams in seven days.

Along with that, "Drivers License" secured Rodrigo with her very first Billboard Hot 100 song when it debuted at number one, becoming the youngest solo artist ever to debut at number one — where she stayed for eight weeks.

2. Her debut album, Sour, came out earlier this year and, of course, broke record after record.

3. Sour became Spotify’s most popular release by a female artist in its first week, racking up approximately 385 million streams.

4. Rodrigo was also just nominated for several 2022 Grammy Awards — despite her album not even being a year old yet.
