This Guy Keeps Getting Trolled By Aamir Khan's Haters Because Of His Twitter Handle

Troll responsibly.

This is Amir Efrati, senior reporter at the The Information. He is not one of Bollywood's biggest superstars.

This is Aamir Khan. He actually is a Bollywood superstar and people care a lot about what he has to say.

On November 24, a lot of Indians got super angry at him when he was quoted as saying, "Kiran and I have lived all our lives in India. For the first time, she said, should we move out of India?"

Unfortunately, a lot of this hate was directed at Efrati because his Twitter handle is @Amir.

A looooot of it.

And Efrati can't do anything but just watch the madness unfold all over his timeline.

Love it when @aamir_khan says controversial things. Shows me what it's like to be Twitter celeb. My notifications:

HE LITERALLY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT, PEOPLE.

Efrati has been mistaken for a lot of celebrities named "Aamir", from boxer Amir Khan, to the winner of the French version of The Voice, Amir Haddad.

"It has been going on for a long time and I love it. For Aamir Khan, it comes in waves, usually when he puts out a movie and people are praising it," Efrati told BuzzFeed.

"It has been going on for a long time and I love it. For Aamir Khan, it comes in waves, usually when he puts out a movie and people are praising it," Efrati told BuzzFeed.

"The experience made me think Twitter is a big deal in India, yet I never see Twitter that high in app rankings over there," he added.

Come on, guys. If you're gonna troll someone, at least make sure you have the right person.
