• Calling a trans man "she" or saying he is a "man trapped in a woman's body."

• Asking a trans person invasive questions about surgeries and sex parts.
• Assuming that drag queens and trans women are the same.

Well-meaning, but you have a lot to learn

You're well meaning but maybe could use a few pointers. It never hurts to brush up!

Anyone can be transphobic, drag queens included! No one gets a pass on using words like "tranny" and "she-male, for example. 

"Transgendered" is not real word. Use "transgender" instead.

Being curious doesn't mean it's cool to ask a person about surgeries and sex parts. If they want to talk about it, they will. If not, you'll just have to read up on your own.

You get that people have a right to define themselves and everyone should be treated with respect. When you don't know someone's pronouns, you politely ask. You avoid invasive questions, opting to let your trans friends bring up surgeries and sex parts in conversation if they want to. You don't use trans slurs like "she-male" or "tranny."

Bem intencionado, mas tem muito a aprender
