What It's Like To Graduate, As Told By Harry Potter

"It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be."

You have finished university. It truly is the end of an era.

You have formed unlikely and unbreakable friendships...

... and created unforgettable memories along the way.

The sadness of leaving can feel overwhelming.

It's hard saying goodbye to friends who live far away.

You vow to stay in contact and visit no matter where they are in the world.

A return to home-made cooking softens the blow.

As does the delight of not having to pay rent or bills.

However, frivolous spending has taken its toll on your overdraft.

Why didn't you spend years trying to save?! Dammit!

With a shock, you suddenly realise the rest of your life begins now.

Despite your best efforts, you have no idea what you're going to do next.

Relatives are concerned for your future.

Family gatherings become full-blown interventions.

Chasing a decent job is no easy task...

... no matter how persuasive you try to be.

Many job applications take a lot of time and effort, but to not avail.

Meanwhile, GCSE and A-Level results are everywhere. Congrats, but been there done that.

You wonder if your life will eventually come together as you'd always imagined.

However, there's no need to worry. Everything will work itself out in the end.

Remember, no matter how old you get, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.
