Interview with Hersh Davis-Nitzberg

I recently got to sit down with the CEO of Reputation Control Inc. to talk about the future of the reputation management industry. Davis-Nitzberg has recently been voted one of the top reputation management consultants in America. When Hersh Davis-Nitzberg first started Reputation Control Inc. DBA Repair Bad Reputation in 2007 there wasn't a reputation management industry. The value of online reputation was at its infancy and most people did not place importance on what was read online. Of course, the one problem with being a pioneer is that others do not necessarily understand their vision. That meant that Davis-Nitzberg spent a lot of time trying to convince people that there was actually a need for his company, which understandably got a little difficult and frustrating. At that time the word ‘reputation’ was not the buzzword and I would say ‘damage control’ or image enhancement. Now according to google Every month there are more than 10.3 billion Google searches, with 78% of U.S. internet users researching products and services online. “I saw that the internet was going to revolutionize the way that people trusted one another. Now most people go online to partner up with someone. To purchase a product. Even to go on dates.”

If you’ve ever searched your own name — this is a safe space, so you can admit you’ve done this at least a few times — you probably feel like the accuracy of those results is even more critical. According to Davis-Nitzberg, “…thankfully, it is possible to manage your online reputation, bringing the positive things that people say about you to the foreground, and diminishing the power of negative publicity. Online reputation management is not something that you should ignore because it sounds complicated – reputation management services are incredibly important, and without them, your business or brand will definitely be suffering.”

“If you are not managing your online reputation, most likely you are losing customers and destroying relationships.” His statement seems to be in line with the facts, in a recent study, 78% of consumers trust peer recommendations while only 14% trust advertising. That is where we come in. Through our online reputation management services, we can ensure that anything negative will pretty much disappear online, whilst positive experiences with your company are highlighted. Carefully and cleverly managing your online reputation with a strategic and well planned reputation management approach could make a huge difference to your company.
