Not contradictory, I’m naming a factor that’s contributing to more people having anxiety, and also naming a counterpoint to your experience working in mental health.

There are a million and one things going on in the world that can and do cause young people anxiety. It’s a mistake to assume mental health always has individual causes, rather than fueled by societal factors

Nah I’ve seen this way more with actual healthcare providers who want to explain physical symptoms as anxiety. There’s a whole group of patients fighting to be taken seriously and a lot of healthcare workers who are super trigger happy with an anxiety diagnosis
