People Are Sharing Small Things That Scream "Upper Class" And Some I Wouldn't Have Thought Of

A Dupont lighter???

On Friday, Reddit user u/Spidie02 asked, "What screams 'upper class'?" People provided some spot-on examples of small, subtle things/behaviors that indicate someone's upper class.

Keep in mind, "upper class" has a different definition for everyone, which still makes for interesting examples. Here's what they said:

1. "Not owning things, just renting everything as needed. Not being restricted to a geographic area. Throwing away things like woven goods as if they’re socks and T-shirts, the way normal people throw away Kleenex.”

2. "When someone is being flippant about what they do for a living and where they live, because neither are things they really have to commit to."

3. "Buying a new car or house without a loan."

4. "Having a house with more bedrooms and bathrooms than the family can actually use."

5. "When someone's sporting a Patek Phillipe watch and proceeds to light a cigarette with a Dupont lighter. That combo is very upper class."

7. "Growing up, it was when someone had Disney Channel and a fridge with a water dispenser."

8. "When someone bitches about capitalism on the internet, on a $2,000 MacBook Pro, while sitting in Starbucks sipping on an $8 soy pumpkin spice latte."

9. "When they don't have a planned budget."

11. "The clink from the American Express Centurion card when they buy something."

12. "Using a credit card for every purchase and paying it off every month to either get cash back or rewards."

And lastly:

16. "When someone just never talks about money."
