Dax Shepard Says It Takes A Lot Of Therapy For Him And Kristen Bell To "Coexist"

"My only fear is that people see us and think, Oh, I just need to find my Kristen Bell. That’s not true."

On Thursday, Dax Shepard gave an interview with Us Weekly where he opened up about his marriage to Kristen Bell.

In the interview, he said that he and Kristen don't consider each other to be "The One."

In fact they don't even believe in that concept. Here's what he said about it:

We don’t believe in The One. [Kristin and I] don’t believe in the fairytale. We don’t believe that you can meet someone and you have perfectly matching personalities.

He also said they have to work hard at marriage. "We are opposites and it has taken a tremendous amount of work and therapy for us to coexist," Dax said.

"My only fear is that people see us and think, ‘Oh, I just need to find my Kristen Bell.’ That’s not true. [Relationships] are labor intensive," he added.

"If you want them to last they are labor intensive." TRUE!

As always, thanks, Dax and Kristen, for being so honest and open about marriage and life!
