    Eminem Apologized To Rihanna For Rapping About Her Assault In A Leaked Song

    "It wasn't meant to cause you grief."

    As you know, Rihanna and Eminem have worked together on two massive songs — "Love the Way You Lie" and "The Monster."

    Which is why it was shocking to hear Eminem rap a really gross lyric referencing Chris Brown's assault of Rihanna in 2009. The following 2009 verse leaked in 2019:

    Eminem's reps told XXL, "This is a leak of something that's over 10 years old. After Eminem recorded it, he scrapped it and rewrote it."

    Well, on Friday, Eminem dropped his new song, "Zeus," and in it he apologized.

    "It wasn't meant to cause you grief," the song continued. "Regardless, it was wrong of me."
