People Are Sharing The Most Uncomfortable TV/Movie Scenes And Yeah, These Are All So Bad

Whew, these scenes are a lot.

On Tuesday, Reddit user u/CanadianGooseDuck asked people, "What’s the most uncomfortable/awkward scene you’ve ever seen in a movie or TV show?"

Some scenes are uncomfortable because they're graphic, some are uncomfortable because they're bizarre, and some are uncomfortable because they're just really cringey. Regardless, people delivered with some super-accurate examples:

"When the guy is stabbed in Saving Private Ryan. If you've seen it, you know exactly which part this is and why it's so hard/horrible to watch. I hated this scene to the point where I haven't watched this film a second time."

"When Ross tried to hook up with his cousin on Friends."

"One of the hardest movies I’ve ever had to sit through was You Were Never Really Here with Joaquin Phoenix. In the movie, he plays a man with PTSD, so throughout the movie, the director decided to randomly cut to scenes of his traumatic experiences to simulate what PTSD feels like. The whole time in the theater, I was on pins and needles."

"In Breaking Bad when Skyler was singing happy birthday to Ted. 😖 I’d rather watch '2 Girls 1 Cup' than sit through that scene again."

"When I was a kid, it was the scene when Squidward got his toenail ripped off by SpongeBob. It was totally out of place and startled me."

"The scene in Better Call Saul when he gets the job at the copying machine company and then rips the enthusiastic owners for hiring him on the spot."

"The sex scene in Showgirls when she comes out with lipstick painted around her nipples. Even worse, I watched that movie with my parents in the '90s. Who does that to their kid? Scarred me for life."

"Definitely the masturbation scene in Her. I watched that on the big screen, man. Never before have I been surrounded by people wanting to crawl out of their own skin for, what, two minutes? It felt like hours. Are they really going there? Of course they have to go there. OK, we get it. OK, you can stop now. Please, God, let it be over."

"The episode of Malcolm in the Middle when they do a split timeline where the dad takes him to the date and the mom takes him. When the mom takes him, it makes me cringe so hard."

"The confrontation on the road in Nocturnal Animals. It’s a looooong and uncomfortable scene that is just masterfully done."

"The orgy in Sausage Party. Didn't help that I saw it with my dad in a theater."

"That scene in No Country for Old Men when Javier Bardem's character asks that old man who owns the convenience store to pick heads or tails. Shit was tense as fuck."
