Shelly Golay, a widow from Casper, Wyoming, received a large bouquet two days before Valentine's Day this year. But she was shocked when she found out where they came from.
It turns out the flowers were arranged by her husband, Jim, after he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor last February.
Jim set up a lifetime supply of Valentine's Day flowers for his wife with a local florist.
"He's such an amazing man and he can love beyond boundaries. There is no boundaries with him," Golay told a local NBC affiliate. "Even in death, he's just amazing."
"It was true love and you just don’t find that very often – you know, the fairy-tale romance, the knight in shining armor, you just don’t find that," Golay told KCWY.
"And even though we didn’t get the fairy-tale ending, it was amazing," she said.
