This Mom Didn't Realize Her Facebook Joke About Slut-Shaming Went Massively Viral

Gina Riverós didn't know that her status had been screenshot and shared thousands of times until her son saw it.

This Facebook screenshot has been shared over 29,000 times. It was originally written by Gina Riverós, a woman working at a bus terminal in Argentina.

Riverós' message reads:

"Yesterday at the bus terminal at 6 a.m., there was a drunk man, and ten minutes later he fell into a deep sleep. He had oversized pants that left his underwear and half of his ass exposed.

In sum: young, drunk, late at night, in a sketchy place like the terminal and with his ass in the air... and not I, nor any of the women who passed by this spectacle, raped him or killed him.

You see guys — it's not so hard, and that no matter how drunk one is or how one is dressed, it's possible to respect the lives of others???"

"That day a guy came up to buy a ticket in the morning made a comment about a girl who was around in miniskirts," Riverós told BuzzFeed Español. "And that made me think of the boy I had seen when I arrived."

Weirdly enough, Riverós didn't know that her status had been screenshot and shared thousands of times until her son, pictured below, told her about it.

She said she's received lots of messages of support from Facebook users who came across her status. But there's also been a good amount of people claiming she's a "feminazi rebelde" or "rebel feminazi."

This isn't the first time Riverós has spoken out against rape culture. "I had a radio program on health for years," she said. "I was disgusted to hear all the people who justify street harassment, groping, rape, etc."

"Both men and women should pay less attention to the clothes worn by girls and deal more with teaching boys of future generations to NOT violate, harass, stalk, and kill," she said.
